I found that if you say anything with a degree of authority, then people will believe anything you say.
Put on a white lab coat while you say something with authority, then you're obviously an expert.

I assume you're referring to the myth that global warming is NOT caused by humans.
Rational people can fall for this myth by failing to examine the scientific evidence. They get their information from people like Rush Limbaugh rather than from climate scientists. They don't want to believe that we're causing it, so they're very selective in the (mis)information they choose to believe.
Basically they're not really rational people. They want to believe that global warming is purely natural, so they find ways to believe it.
If you're actually suggesting that global warming is a myth, I would suggest that you either do some research on the subject or stop multiplying your IQ by a factor of 2. Try becoming one of those rational people you're talking about. Any rational person who examines all of the scientific evidence should come to the same conclusion as climate scientists - that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming.

I'm not even sure how you can ask a question like that and what make you want to fool yourself and others that it doesn't exist .
Either your being well paid from someone cant imagine how you would find a job like that .
Maybe your hanging around a bunch of people that make your paycheck and have your brain scrambled.
Maybe you just cant lol think for yourself or you could be a young kid with a father that has no brains what so ever and still think that the moon shines because there's glowy stuff on it .
I'm not sure whats causing global warming . I don't know if its a good or bad thing . I just know that its real and worth taking a good look at .
As far as you i think just to young to understand or able to see what could happen if it keeps up .
Maybe you should take another IQ test .
Maybe your just suicidal

how can intelligent people still deny it? there is irrefutable evidence that it exists...if you dont believe humans are the cause that is one thing, but it is not in debate anymore if it exists....the main arguement put forth is that it is natural....read this:
ok look up milankovitch cycles....these are the "natural" cycles of climate....they are caused by changes in the shape of earths orbit around the sun, wobbles along the axis, and changes in the tilt earth has on its axis. these cycles are found to occur in 20k year, 40k, 100k, 200k and 400k. the cycles over lap each other but have been pin point accurate on changes in our climate long before humans were around. these are so accurate that we can tell what should be happening next on our planet. for example, thousands of years ago there was a mile of ice over the northern half of the U.S. (ice age). since then we have been melting away those glaciers (inter-glacial period). We are coming to an END of a warm cycle as we speak.....we SHOULD be heading into an ice age, but instead we are warming. it doesnt matter if its a lot of warming or a little because we shouldnt be warming AT ALL. we should be cooling so obviously we are not following these natural cycles anymore and obviously this is new territory. we do not know what our ecosystems can hold or tolerate.....for those that admit there is warming, but say it is cyclical....look up Milankovitch cycles and see that what is happening around us is not cyclical and might be a problem
CO2 has risen to 383 parts per million....more than it has been in recent history....600 scientists (IPCC) have come out numerous times tellign us that it exists and if we cant believe them who can we believe???
people hate this theory because a huge poster boy of it is Al Gore, but you know what? he isnt my favorite person either but on this subject he is dead on with his beliefs and hes been fighting for them for decades......even republicans are catching on....so are big buisnesses and even SOME not nearly all oil companies...BP is taking great strides in reducing its carbon footprint...look up Ray Anderson and interface carpets...there is so much evidence its not even funny

It's not a myth, it's a scientific hypothesis. Rational people understand the difference.
As a hypothesis, it is either supported by the evidence or it's not.
Scientific hypotheses are not something one "falls" for.
In this case, the scientific evidence supports the hypothesis.

***YAWN*** the usual bunch of alarmists reciting the same old garbage that they really have no first hand knowledge of - they're just making pop journalism their bibles. So if you don't believe in global warming (I can't even bring myself to capitalize it) you're a Christian from North America? Well, let's see...Christians from North America comprise a very large percentage of the most educated, most intelligent, and successful people in the world, so what does that statement really say? That if you doubt global warming you must be educated, intelligent, and successful? Good - I rest my case.

Egocentrism and the need to blame someone else for one's problems.
They don't want to accept that they are as powerless in the global scheme as every other creature on the planet. Just as the scientific community and the Church refused to accept a heliocentric model, we have far to many people that say, "look at all the pollution we are creating - it has to be doing something."
The IPCC has never seriously looked at any other mechanism besides CO2/GHG enhancement.
And the fact that the US was the TOP CO2 producer until China took over, gave the rest of the globe a villain: the wealthiest nation on the world to pay reparations for warming the planet. Simple, but effective socioeconomic warfare. We see it all the time in US politics. Rich corporations are always made to be the "enemy", even though THEY are the ones producing jobs, goods to consume, and essentially, the wealth that trickles down to the rest of us. But some politicians would have them penalized for their wealth...even at the cost of decreased jobs, increased consumer prices, and overall decreased wealth that disproportionately hits the lower and middle classes in an ironic twist of fate. Oh, well, at least it felt good to stick it to THE MAN!

How can a rational person believe you have an IQ of 144????? Clearly if you do you don't apply it to any research on climate change.

Because scientific data proves that global warming is real and mostly man made.
http://www.globalwarmingart.com/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png
Which is why the vast majority of scientists agree:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_opinion_on_climate_change
http://www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/full/306/5702/1686
Are these people irrational?
"I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."
Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr.
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."
Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart Company
or do they know more than you do? IQ isn't everything. And this guy has you covered:
Asked about the environment, Hawking, who suffers from a degenerative disease, uses a wheelchair and speaks through a computerized voice synthesizer, said he was "very worried about global warming."
