this wad 2 nights in a row. i have a child and it is against our complexes rules to make any noise that your neighbors can hear.

sorry to the first two but you suck, these kids are screaming and yelling slamming doors and blaring music. not acceptable and i hope your neighbors report you.
i learned last night first offense warning
second offense a fine
3 third offense means the party is broken up and the person who rents or owns is arrested
if theres underage drinking its stopped on the first offense and the party thrower arrested

It's neither. That would be a city ordinance -- unless you live in an unincorporated area. The city will have a loud music or noise ordinance. Outside the city limits, disturbing the peace will cover it. But either way, call the police or the sheriff's office and report the loud music. Now, be reasonable -- if the cops can't hear the music from the street, they probably won't do anything. If they don't respond, call again (just be sure and give them enough time to respond and keep in mind that a noise complaint will not get priority). If, after the cops show up and have left, they turn the music back up, call back. Be persistent. Call every time. The cops aren't going to be real nice to them the 2nd or 3rd time they are called out.

It's called "Disturbing the peace" and it is an offense not just after midnight but at any time of the day! Most places, the police will give them a first warning and then they are able to fine them if they persist! For everything under the sun, there is a way! Don't wait until it makes you and your family sick! Act now! and nip it in the bud! There are laws about noisy neighbors! Absolutely!

easy way to deal with this is call the cops tell them about the loud party and they will come and bust it up. Don't be afraid to do it. I did it and in the end it was a good thing to do for more than one reason, one party ended two one girl had way too much and ended up w/ alocohl poising and was rushed to er in ambulance. So what if the neighbors are mad at you. I am pregnant too and would not like it if someone was not letting me get sleep.

You can call the cops about loud or excessive noise. I've had em callled on me too many times to count. They'll give them a warning and if they keep it up the cops will be able to take action. I understand your complaints but be cool... if they party on a friday or sat night let it go as long as its not till like 5 in the morning. If anything go talk to the kids... tell them to keep it down on the weekdays and turn in at a decent time on the weekends. They should understand and if they don't call the cops.

it is a city ordinance. And it is based on reasonable noise. (what a reasonable person deem noisy). If you can't sleep you have the right to call the police. People have actually sued people for that, and won. (When the neighbor was having sex).
I would give them a warning first, if they don't listen, then call the cops.
good luck

You need to check on the local level, call the police precinct in your area. I doubt the state has any laws about that type of noise, I know the fed's don't.

If your in an apartment, there should be rules or covenents about noise.

It is a local ordinance that woudl come into play. If the local police aren't "too busy" eating donuts and slurping coffee, they MIGHT get around to telling them to lower it. This is good for about 15 minutes of Peace and quite.
My solution was Limburger Cheese. Lots of it, in the hallway in front of MY door, in the air conditioning ducts, and in all the public places. The place REEKED!!!! It also made their place the least desirable party place in town,,,, problem solved.

Noise pollution is usually a state matter. Call the local police.
