Christians aren't the only people who are against homosexuality. Yes as a group, pretty much we are against it as God is against it, but there are many people who think it is wrong and against normal acts of decency.

Zoo...lol...Mathew, Luke and John were Jesus' apostles. They walked with him daily. Mark was very young when he encountered Christ and learned of Him when they were taking Him to the cross. Where did you get your info? Paul came into the picture later and actually did meet Jesus, although when he did meet Him he was chasing Christians and persecuting them. Not until he was struck blind and shown the truth did he start preaching the living word of God.
Gotta love it.

I wouldn't be so cavalier about what it is you are talking about. I would say that "we battle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, spiritual rulers in high places." What you just did was to drive a non sequitur wedge between Christians and the Gospel. You did Satan's work for him.

Is this animosity against homosexuals more important than the Gospel message? Tell me, when did the Christian movement become so Pharisaical?

Tell me more; when did Christs words become so deficient to Christianity?

Tell me even more; Were you not convicted of sin by the presence of the Holy Spirit and made clean by the admission of guilt through faith in Jesus Christ? When are you going to see that homosexuals are sinners that we are as well? When did you become so clean, was it by your own efforts?

Are you so much better a sinner than anyone here? Not as dirty perhaps?

I wonder when Satan got so much control over Christianity that they would abandon the message of the Gospel for the one that persecutes Gay people. When did that become so important?

Because before Christianity, homosexuality was widely accepted throughout the world. Look at the Celts, Greeks, the Mayans, and just about every ancient culture. The Christians made the largest movement against it.

A lot of modern cultures frown on it, but most people you see are probably in the US. And Christians are the majority, adn most against gays. So that's why you see it more.

I am frustrated by the same thing. However, many Christians do act out in horrible ways. But, I still don't think this is reason to generalize all Christians into a group.

That being said. I am a christian and I dont think it's my place at all to tell homosexuals that they are wrong. Doesn't God tell us He is the ultimate judge NOT us? We are called to love everyone not to judge.

well I kinda agree with wazanna

Christians aren't against homosexuals as a people, they just don't want to endorse it as if they believe it's right, since the bible is against it. It'd be like having a pig eating contest supported by a jewish temple

because the only arguement that has any validity is the Chrisatian arguement that it is against their bible.

everyone else is just a bigot...

however i think that the christians are bogots too. but at least they have a source for their hatred that the majority of the population understands and will react favourably to.

Homosexuality is wrong. We are to repopulate and I know of no same sex gays that can do that. If all people became gay, there would be no future and no future generations. If your parents were two same sex gays, you wouldn't be here!!! I have limited respect for a gay man that wants, likes, strives to suck on another gay mans private parts...VERY limited.

what is Christianity?

The stuff written about him in the Bible was written decades after jesus supposedly died. The first writings were Paul / Saul who never met Jesus, but only met people who supposedly met him. So, it's second-hand information, at best.

Paul really didn't say much about Jesus. He said nothing about his upbringing or earlier life. He doesn't give much of Jesus' teachings, either.

Decades after Paul wrote about him, suddenly some stories were "remembered" by Mark, or whoever wrote in Mark's name. (It was common in those days to sign a more famous name to your work) The later writings of Matthew, Luke, and John seem to have copied Mark or used similar stories or myths that were being circulated in that day.

There were many other stories written about Jesus, too. As Christianity was becoming more popular, people would add to the legend, just as the Gospel writers did.

Around the mid-300's, Constantine converted to Christianity, and made Christianity a state religion. He convened a council of Bishops to decide what stories would be official canon or not. They rejected the rest, for whatever reasons, calling them the Apocrapha.

After more councils, they decided other doctrine, such as whether Jesus was divine or not, created the concept of the "Trinity", decided that Mary was a virgin and a bit divine herself, and other matters not addressed in the Bible

Ok, let's say religious people in general.

Now what's the largest religious group in the US?

What are the other people that are against homosexuality that you infer in your question?
