Maybe you should try a therapist. I've been doing this for years and it has been very helpful. Your moodiness and anxiety may be a chemical thing with your brain but it may also be that you have a lot of voices in your head telling you false things or restricting you in unrealistic ways. Also, you may have a lot of behavior patterns, perhaps learned from parents, that aren't getting you what you need in life or are always leading you into pain.
I've been in therapy for like 5 years now and we've worked on a lot of issues. It takes an adult person a long time to unlearn all of the bad behaviors and beliefs they learned in their childhood. But it's better that staying "stuck like chuck". I don't know if I could have found this kind of help outside either. No one in normal life will just sit down and listen to your stuff and concentrate on you for an hour or two a week. And if they do, they may have an agenda besides your mental health.
Just a suggestion. If you're not comfortable with it or don't feel you need it then that's OK. Don't worry about it. If you'd like to e-mail me and talk some more let me know.

Hi hun! Try taking deep breaths when you can't relax! If you begin worrying, start taking that worry and look at all the positive facts about it. Think positive and happy thoughts when you are worried or sad! Really try it, it helps me. Life can be hard but we can make it easier if we have a positive outlook, take a problem and write down all the pros then write down all the cons! You will find the pros nicer to think about, so focus on the pros! As far as relaxing, when you can take a long hot shower or bath and just think about good things, if you have to write a list of the good things that you know about, then write a list, looking at the good things in life makes us more happier. You can choose to be happy or sad. There will always be bad but there will always be good also. You can choose to be negative or choose to be positive, being positive is more healther, it boosts your self esteem and your confidence too. Try it hun! Really! hugs! Von

I have yet to be able to do this myself. But I have tried a few things. Before reacting, take a moment to reflect. Try to look at the situation from an outsider's point of view and then determine if its severe enough for an immediate reaction.
Organize the triggers by urgency and tackle them one by one, starting with the most immediate threat.
This was told to me by a friend who I couldnt avoid anymore. It has helped me immensely and I am able to tackle problems one at a time rather than letting them overwhelm me all at once.

I often feel the same way. You may (and I say may because its unwise to do this unless you get diagnosed) be bi-polar or manic depressive.
Certain medications can help "even you out", they wont give a high or a buzz but they will help with perspective, and not losing it over small stuff. (Celexa, prozac, wellbutrin, etc.)
It's worth a visit to a doctor, no reason to fight the blues every day of your life.
