I do not belive in god due to the lack of evidence. The only so called "evidence" is in the bible which is a religious source. Hence the fact i dont belive. If your going to tell me"Your wrong", then do tell me, is there and evidence that isnt from a religous source??????

And list the sourse if you have one. =]

By definition, the only source that could possibly provide evidence of God would be a religious source. So I would ask if you believe in science as the only proof is in scientific books. You probably believe in evolution, yet it too is not proven. I will also tell you that there are many passages in the Bible which long predate modern day science, that reveals scientific facts that were only verifiable within the last three to four hundred years by science. How do you think men knew these things two or three thousand years ago since "science" was not then capable of producing those results? In closing my response, I will suggest an exceptional book that you can probably buy on EBay for $10. or so, "God, the Atom, and the Universe." It's written by a physicist who attempts to disprove the existence of God by using scientific methods.

I don't for the same reasons as you. I studied the Bible and Biblical history as well as other religions and came to the conclusion that they were man created ways of understanding the world, ethics, and meaning. There is no proof or evidence for God. The complexity of the world and universe is not proof of God. We have explanations for much of the complexity we see in the world. These answers also explain disease, natural disasters, and ugliness better than Satan or a punishing God to me as well. Where we don't have answers people tend to plug in God automatically because they want to believe. For me I don't make a habit of making up an answer for things I don't know yet nor believing things without proof, so why do this with religion. Especially when religion for me seems to create as much division as unity and wants to conform people in what to me are often arbitrary stereotypes. While some cite people turning their lives around and I am happy for them it certainly isin't proof of anything other than they found a psychological tool that worked in assisting them to change themselves.

I was told when I was religious that a woman's role was to get married and be a mother, women had no place to hold positions of authority in the church, birth control was wrong, and that seeking a career while being a mother was selfish. I can't tell you how much better for me as an individual life has been away from those arbitrary constructs. I got a degree in science, have a career, married a man who is comfortable with me exploring my full potential, and believe that family planning can lead to happier more economically stable families. Certainly not all religions are like this but I was always told the Bible set these things out clearly. I think the Bible was written by humans and its moral code a reflection of those humans in that time. I think all religions may have their merits as well but they are human constructions.

I'm agnostic...I don't deny the possibility of God, but I certainly don't believe He/She has an effect on my day-to-day life if He/She exists.
And I don't really think it has anything to do with evidence. I think it's more to do with necessity. Do we NEED God to exist? Historically speaking, it was the only way to explain a lot of the mysteries of the world around us. These days we know a lot more about the way the world, life, and the universe work, so the presence of God in the world is diminished. As society advances further, I think the reliance on God will diminish even more. Whether that's a good thing or not, I'll leave to the sociologists and Fundies to debate.

Edit: Frogman, not Pascal's Wager again. Honestly, do people really just believe in God on the off-chance that the rewards at death are better?

One evidence is that in the bible it speaks of the time of Noah when the whole earth was covered with water. Science has shown that there are fossils of ocean life on the tops of the highest mountains which proves this earth was once covered with water, and since science also proved that human DNA could NEVER survive salt water how could we all be here. Also , nobody argues the fact that Jesus exist but some will degrade His divinity by saying that He was a good man, a prophet , Let me ask you something, if He was a good man or prophet why would people think His Word is not True? Jesus says " I am the Truth , the Life , no man comes to the Father but by me." even after this man was severely beaten to death beyond recognition why wouldn't He save Himself by denying He was the Son of God? 10 of the 12 disciples who walked with Jesus and saw for themselves that He was the resurrected Christ , why then would they also allow themselves to be put to death for their faith? They too had families like people do today, they gave up everything even their lives.. I don't know anybody that would do that let alone 10.

Romans 1:20 For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable;

Even a watch has a maker, it didn't just pop out of nothing. Everything you see, hear, smell, and taste gives proof there is a God. His name can be found at Psalms 83:18

It doesnt make you undesirable in case you dont beleive. the rustic became into geared up on religious ideals yet over years God has been bumped off by using society. we've lots in the way of medical theory that still eliminates God from any equation of becoming the international or guy for that count. Now i think of in case you beleive it comes out of your loved ones and actually no the place else. No in case you dont beleive and there's a god im particular he's conscious. Now God is asserted to be forgiving and merciful so dont complication too lots approximately it.

Personally, I do believe in God. But I believe that God might be some sort of "force" or "endless void" that may or may not be part of the Universe. I doubt It would even care if a bunch of tiny apes on a mote of dust somewhere in the Universe mocked It though.

Sorry, no source, this is just a personal belief.

I'm not sure what kind of evidence you are looking for, But before I would say there is no evidence I would do the following::

Have you ever prayed and ask God to show you?

Ask God to bring your heart under conviction if He is real?

Have you ever read His word, The Holy Bible?

Be sincere and honest with yourself and God, if you expect an answer...

That's like asking if a person believes in an atom, but telling them that they aren't aloud to use a science book to prove it. After all, how many people have actually seen an atom? Very few. We have to take their word for it based on what they know. It's the same principle with God's existence. The Bible bears record of the events of first-hand knowledge of ancient people.

If you try to apply logic to one thing, then be consistent and apply it to everything.

People have tried for at least 6,000 years to prove the existence of God, but in all this time no one has presented the slightest bit of incontrovertible evidence of His existence. The beauty and complexity of the human body or of the universe is no more evidence of God's existence, especially of the Christan God's existence specifically, than the beautiful, precise patterns of snowflakes proves that they were sculpted by an artist. Completely explainable natural forces create snowflakes. Completely explainable natural forces explain the symmetry and balance of the solar system and galaxies.

The lack of proof of God's existence does not mean that He doesn't exist. It just means there is no reason, logically speaking, to believe that He does.
