there is this guy at my job who has had a crush on me for about 1 and a half years and it is completelly obvious. this year though, people have actually come up to me and said it. He's not the greatest looking guy and he's really shy, but i kinda like him a little too. a lot of people think he is really ugly, but he is really nice. I'm afraid he might be too much of a pushover. should i just forget about him or wait for him to ask me out? Or should i just flirt until i'm ready?

He hasn't asked you out in 1 1/2 years so I don't think he is going to ask you out tomorrow or next month. He is probably scared that you are going to say no or laugh at him.

Ask him out for lunch. No big deal, talk with him see if you like him and then if you do make a date. If you make the first move then he will feel more comfortable and accepted. If you don't make the first move you will never know if you want to go out with him or not.

If you flirt or just wait then you are making him more nervous and frightened. Are you flirting with him? Are you setting him up for a joke, or is he just imagining it? He has all this going on inside of him and it has prevented him from asking you out.

If he is a loser then you have a poor lunch and know. If he is a winner though then you could have missed your chance, you won't know until you try.

Give him a chance... its tough for shy guys. Try this... the next friday you two work together talk about how you have nothing to do over the weekend, how you really want to go to see some movie but how all your friends say it looks stupid.. Look him in the eyes for a sec and kinda smile... if he doesn't ask you to go than move on. I mean it's been over a year... its now or never, give him one last chance and if he doesn't take it he lost out.

Go for it! Ask him to do something like have lunch or go out for a drink after work.

i would flirt with him and let him know your interested, and then see if he is man enough to do anything about it. if he still shy's away maybe he has some growing up to do, or maybe he will surprise you and take initiative and show what a great guy he is.

Do not base your opinions on what other people think of him. Hop in bed with him and see if he loses his shyness.
