people in the past due to their primitive thinking accepted such nonsense, but what makes modern day people who are educated believe in such superstition?

I doubt that there are devils or jinn as portrayed in Christianity and Islam. However, I can't rule out the possibility of some form of intelligence existing that we can't easily detect and have very little knowledge about. I don't "believe" in such things, but I can't honestly say I know for sure that such things don't exist.

Humanity only figured out that radio waves existed and how to detect them within the last couple of 100 years. Who knows what we'll discover in the future? Our knowledge is too limited for us to scoff at the possibility of things we don't currently have information about.

Its not nonsense my dear. Surely you've watched David Copperfield and all his antics-- those are the works of jinn.

Try living in South-East Asia and South Asia where jinns abound. People in this part of the world may utilise them in many ways-- to disrupt other's businesses for example.

Some even happen to see these beings-- the evil ones are scary you don't want to meet them.

BTW, there's a Surah al-Jinn in the Quran which talks about a group of jinns listening to the Quran being recited, and they believe in its contents. It is disbelief to deny jinns and other spiritual beings evil or otherwise, if you are a Muslim yourself cos these are matters of the unseen (ghaib) that you must have faith in.

They do exist, go on youtube and look for jinn. You will see many. Don't be a fool, because many scientists and doctors are Muslim and follow the faith. And, you are such a big deal you are a Yahoo Answers user who probably sits here all day and do nothing, doesn't believe in Islamic doctrines?

Maybe you are not educated enough to understand and believe Islam.

Fallen angels are demons and yes they, as well as satan exist and are all around us trying to rob, steal and destroy as many of us as they can. Unfortunately, people either do not believe they exist or are blinded to their deceptive tactics -- either way this is a win win situation for satan and his demons. But if you belong to Jesus, nothing can happen to you unless it passes thru God's hands first. There is spiritual warfare going on. And yes this comes from an educated bible study person, me. I'm still yearning to learn more! God bless

Hello, XMuslim:

Don't abandon God and the spiritual conflict just because you were once duped by a false prophet. The Holy Book foretold the rise of Islam, and their ultimate destruction of Israel; in fact, it names the very nations who will do it. See: "The Rise, Decline, and Death of Islam in Bible Prophecy" at www.revelado.org/islam.htm

And there is certainly an advesary and cosmic conflict. See one man's escape from a Satan cult by selecting the cult link at http://abiblecode.tripod.com

Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

No. People today believe what they have been taught, just like people of old did.

Am I visible to you. No. I am a devil.
Invisible helpers are prevalent as per MADAM BLAVATSKY'S THEOSOPHY.
