I don't think there's anything wrong with nudity. Yes, it is a cultural and religious bias. If we all ran around naked all the time, no one would think anything of it except for the effects of weather.

If you think public nudity would result in all those girls from Playboy and Hustler walking the streets, take a look around next time you're out. Sure, on a theoretical level it might be a good idea, but on a practical level there's a good reason for clothing.

What other kind of bias could it be? Different cultures have different norms about it, at different times in their history (imagine a proper Victorian lady showing her calf in public--the very idea!). There's nothing inherent in our nature to hate our own bodies.

Ever since the fall, both men and women fell the need to hide, both from each other and more importantly from God. This may be subconscious, or conscious. We cover ourselves up not only with clothing, but we also put on masks of various behavioral patterns considered "proper" in a given culture, education, philosophy and even religion. While we may fool our fellow men, God sees right through us and rejects any form of "natural' covering. The only covering He accepts is the righteousness of Christ which we may put on by faith.

well..nothing. the body is beautiful, even god thought so. he was angry when adam and eve became ashamed of their nudity.
Of course, clothes are a requirement now because if we all walked around naked, there might be some hankie pankie going on in the streets and think of the children!

Did you know that Adam and Eve were naked and not ashamed but when they ate from the tree of knowledge, they were ashamed and covered themselves. Which made God upset. And public nudity, not so sure. But being naked while at home is okay.
