Also, death is permanent. If he arose from the dead, then, by definition, he never really died, so where's the sacrifice? I think the entire story is a pant load, but, can you convince me that I am wrong?

no one's going to hell

People still go to hell because they refuse to be "born again." Jesus is The Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the only way to get to heaven through His death, burial and resurrection.

God gave man a choice. Those that are going to hell, chose to reject the plan of salvation.

You said you think this entire story is a "pant load". I can only tell you what I believe. I can send you some of the things that I have taught over the years if you so desire to learn (be convinced). The Bible says "The truth shall make you free."

He died for our sins without doubt. As for people still going to hell its simple Accept the fact that he did die for you and accept him as your Lord and Savior and hell is just a four letter word. Yes by definition he did die, he just knew someone far more powerful than the doctors of today and was able to come back to life because of his obedience to make that sacrifice.I don't know about your pants but my job is to tell you the truth and the Holy Spirit will do the rest. If you don't believe then do one thing that will cost you only 5 minutes of your time every day for the next 5 days. Give God the first 5 minutes of your day before your even out of bed to show himself to you. Just say Lord if you are real show me. Then just lay there and with an open mind and heart. He'll be there soon. Praise God for you question because that can really only be prompted by the Holy Spirit. Best wishes on your new journey it is going to be great.

Why are still people going to hell? let me illustrated with a story. Some one gave you a brand new car, the thing is, it is your choice to accepted or rejected, it is there, but will you use it???? It is the same thing with salvation, (died for or sins, is salvation) He gives it to us for free, and we do not need to do anything except accept it. BUT if we don't, then we are not saved. When you are saved you go to heaven and when you are not saved you go to "hell". Please tell me where it says that death is permanent??? In human terms it may be, but to "God?" In the bible death is referred as a deep unconscious sleep, something that will be reversed at the end of time in judgment day. Where is the sacrifice? Death is the result of sin, "the wages of sin is death" So if someone never sin-ed then death would not apply to them, my point, Jesus/ God was perfect, therefore he did not have to die, but he choose to because of his love for us. He lived in a world full of sin yet did not sin, but he chose to endure pain and suffering for us. Do you see the sacrifice??? he didn't have to, yet he did it. Does this help?

There are three different things that could have happened with Jesus: the disciples stole the body, the Jewish or roman authorities moved the body or Jesus just swooned.

If the disciples stole the body it would mean that they deliberately perpetuated a lie; deceiving thousands. Every single one of the disciples died a horrible death--Are you willing to die for a lie?

If the Romans or Jews moved the body--the tomb was in a private burial ground-not public--all they had to do was parade the body--which they didn't.

How could Jesus present himself as glorious or and majestic if He was walking around looking like the living dead.. He also appeared to sorts of people-in all different places--people who were there that interacted acted with Him.

He rose from the dead three days later--with a glorious and majestic body

When people die, they are dead, they do not go anywhere. When Jesus returns, all the dead ....(except for the very evil, they will stay dead, not in Hell just dead, Hell is for Satan and his followers.) ....will be resurrected. Those who died before Jesus will be given a chance to learn about Jesus and serve him and his father, they will live in peace with those alive and those who have died after Jesus. Jesus is the only human that was resurrected into Heaven, he is a spirit not human. And at his return the 144,000 faithful, including the apostles of Jesus will be resurrected into Heaven. Read John chapter 5 and 11 for a start.

Jesus died for the sins of those who receive his sacrifice, by laying down their own life for his. However if one refuses to make Jesus lord of their life, then they have to face God on their own accord.
Death was permanent until Jesus defeated death. Jesus defeated death by being perfect. The law of sin and death required anyone that sins should surely die. However when Jesus died, he was innocent therefore not required to be permately dead. That is why Jesus was the first to rise from the dead.
Just remember Jesus is God therefore worth an infintite value, therefore dying on the cross for a fininte amount of time, could save fininte people from infinite punishment.

Jesus died for the sins of those who follow Him. !Everyone! who chooses to follow may have their sins forgiven. As mentioned in one passage of the Bible, people are either sheep or goats. Jesus died for the sheep, not for the goats and it is your choice which to be.

His death is verified in the following:
Mark 15:44-45
And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling [unto him] the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead. And when he knew [it] of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

John 19:33-35
But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw [it] bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe.

Both of these passages describing the end of the day of the crucifixion.

His sacrifice is found in the following:
Matthew 26:38-39
Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [wilt],

Luke 22:44 (a continuation of the same event)
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Both of these last two passages describing Jesus praying in the garden just before being betrayed by Judas to the priests.

Some people are going to hell because they choose not to ask Jesus into their heart and recognize that he died for their sins. God gave us free will, to choose Him or choose the world.

Before you can make an accurate assessment of the story, you really need read the New Testament, then decide if it's a pant load or not. So many people make the mistake of believing something somebody told them, rather than researching it for themselves.

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptize into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." "For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be Slaves to sin." Romans 6:1-6

Our mortal body is the only remaining repository where sin finds the believer vulnerable. the brain & its thinking proceses are part of the body and thus tempt our souls with its sinful lust.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God," Ephesians 2:8 That refers to salvation, not only the grace but the faith. Men are required to believe for salvation, even that faith is part of the gift of God which saves & cannot be exercised by one's own power. God's grace is preeminent in every aspect of salvation.

You can prove You are wrong. Have an open mind and open heart, and ask to see the Truth. I use to be a witch and asked for some answers, and God answered me. It changed my life. Do some research, read John in the bible, that helped me. Then you will have much more understanding about everything. The bible takes on a whole new meaning when you know. It doesnt hurt to give it a chance. You will then understand what God is saying in the versus I put above for you.

Jesus has the power of life and death.
Read John 10:18
Jesus' earthly body died but was raised from
the dead in a glorified heavenly body. The
resurrection body is a perfect body and is what
all believers in Christ will get one day for heaven.
I thought death by definition anyways is the minute your heart stops beating for an amount of time. Thats why you hear people in hospitals say he was dead but we revived him. People will have to pay the price for their sins today if they dont accept and pray for forgiveness to the one who lived the life paid the price and can forgive their sins and make them right with God and that is Jesus Christ, people wont accept him today that is the problem friend.
