I dont think you should ever do anything that you dont like. Im sure you can find another job. How about a grocery store? I guess the question is, do you really need the money that bad?

If you already decided to quit, then the right thing to do will be to return the uniform and tell your boss, "I'm sorry, this job isn't for me. I am resigning." Then do whatever the exit process that they require.

I don't suggest no call or no show. Do it the right way. It doesn't cost you anything more to do it right and you might as well learn how to do it correctly. This won't be your first job or last (to quit).

The formal way of doing this is to write a resignation letter, but it does not appear that would be necessary.

Since you are leaving, it would be best for you to NOT say anything more. This is not the time to let our your grievances. If you were staying, I would definitely look into proper self-protection (ie. gloves).

There is nothing awkward about this. People resign all the time, and it appear they were expecting you'd quit anyway. Just tell it like it is.

Find a job you enjoy, if you need the money.
