Um, offhand I'd say it's plaque. She needs to be shown how to brush properly (going all the way to the gumline at a 45-degree angle) with a soft-bristled brush -- 3x daily, 2 min per time. Also, flossing daily will help the problem. I also rinse with Listerine after each brushing and find that I rarely have plaque.

That white stuff on your teeth isn't plaque it just happens to be tartar..In order to get it remove you would have to visit a dentist because they have a special tool that removes it that we can't do ourselves. Its called a scalar and also has a water pressure in it. Once you get the dentist to remove it make sure to buy a toothpaste that says tartar protection. Then you should be all good. Sometimes the tartar is also nicknamed as calcium buildup which comes from the sink when rinsing, because the sewage system has a bit of cholrine, calcium, and sometimes flouride.

It's probably just plaque. Has she learned how to brush properly? Does she floss? Use mouthwash?
All else fails - take her to a dentist, she should be going every 6 months anyway

I have that too!
It is really no big deal!
It is the enamel on your teeth !
When you eat lots of sugary foods and stuff its not rotting it it just softens it and dont scrape it off because after a while with build up it can damage the tooth!
Just let it set an hour or 2 then after that there might still be a little so just brush the excess off!

Take her to the dentist and get her teeth cleaned and have them show her how to brush properly. Also, get her spin brush, if she is at least 3 years-old. these clean the teeth a lot better than a normal brush.

My daughter also has that. It isn't plaque, my dentist said so. We are thinking that it is a side effect of taking infertility drugs.

It sounds like it's just calcium. Some people have calcium mear and sometimes in their gums.If she has had the white stuff for a long period of time then you should probably take her to a dentist just in case(doesn't sound like anything like an emergency though.)Hope I helped!

yes it is plaque nothing else. the dentist needs to teach her how to floss and brush correctly and i promise you the white stuff will no longer be visible. good luck.
