Are you talking about what base after Basic and AIT because you won't be able to go with him to Basic and unless his training in AIT is extremely long, you won't be able to go with him to AIT either.
You will be allowed to go with him to his first duty station however. Here are a list of army bases. And it all depends on what you like. Do you like the cold? Then fort drum is the place for you (they deploy alot). Do you like the heat? Maybe GA, Texas, or NC is the place for you (they deploy also). Do you like rain and no sun? Then maybe Washington is for you. Do you want to be near the beach or do you want to be in the central USA? Check out these sites:

Once you find out which base he will be stationed at. Search them on one of these sites or google it. Then try to find their ACS number and call them up. Ask them to send you a welcome packet. They will mail you tons of info on the base that you will be going to. Then search that base on yahoo groups and you should find one or two groups and talk to some of the spouses that are there at that base and see what it is like.
I have tons and tons of resources that I can send you if you email me.
Good luck, being an army wife is not always fun and the deployments will be hard. But it does have its rewards.

His MOS will limit what duty stations he can get to. If he is going active as a Drill Sergeant, there are fewer choices. For a Drill Sergeant, I would recommend Fort Lee VA. Otherwise, I was stationed at Schofield Barracks, and I loved it. As far as a mellow climate, Fort Sill OK is pretty mild, as well as being a training post. Okies are real nice people too. I was stationed there, and it was great.

i just visitied my hubby at Ft. Jackson, SC and loved it! Ft. Carson in Colorado is nice too, cold winters, but otherwise really great. Depending on where you are from, you might need to adjust to different climates. Ft. Bragg in NC is nice as well, and Ft. Benning in GA is ok. good luck and thanks to you and your husband for your service and sacrifices

You can name the Red Cross, but it surely higher be a truly emergency. Like the above poster stated, name the recruiter for his cope with or touch his loved ones as they must even have his know-how.

what base he gets depends on what job/MOS he is. not every MOS trains at every training base.
