Ketoconazole cream is a prescription form of anti-yeast cream (like the kind that would be used for jock itch or athelete's foot) (sorry). I had it prescribed for a rash once -- I can't imagine what your doctor thinks you have that he gave you this. You might want to ask him....

] are you sure that's the right medicine? It's for treating fungal infections!
] choice one - dermatologist [ not the same doc ]
] a retin a formula, alpha hydrox or beta hydrox formula. Call a pharmacy and ask what you can purchase that will help with acne scars.
] also use a face wash, toner, sunscreen, and moisturizer for your skin type [ oily, dry, combination, sensitive ]. Wash, tone, and sunscreenin AM; wash, tone, and moisturize in PM.
] exfoliate with Aapri or St. Ives apricot scrub every day for two weeks, then every other day. [ initially it will make acne worse, because it removes dead skin, uncovering 'fresh' acne underneat - but it will unclog the pores, revealing healthy skin. ]
] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
] don't eat crap. Avoid fried, fast, and junk food - even diet junk food. No chips/crackers/sweets/bakery goodies
] take a multivitamin with minerals every day
Try this for a month - you will see results!
