I was taking a nap and then got woken up because I heard my dog making some wierd noise out back, I got up and looked and he was standing over one of my other dogs sneezing over and over! I brought him inside and he just kept doing it, he would kinda lift his head when he sneezed. In about 5-10 minutes I got him calmed down and gave him some water (he drank a TON) and he stopped but started again when he tried to play! it stopped when i calmed him again. Im REALLY worried about a foxtail... but there is NO blood and he isnt putting his head to the ground... Please HELP! I do not want to spend 400$ at the vet to be told he got dirt in his nose...

He went to sleep and hasn't sneezed in over a half hour.
Thank you all for your answers, if anything is abnormal tomorrow I will be taking him in.

my dog sneezed for a while and it turned out it was kennel cough. watch your dog closely and listen for abnormal breathing and a dry hacking cough. if not, it's probably something else, but go to the vet to be safe.

I work in a vets office and it does sound like a fox tail, often the dog can sneeze it out by themselves. As long as the sneezing stops and there is no blood I would not worry. Just keep an eye out for other signs like rubbing his nose on the ground and scratching around that area. If nothing happens in 24 hours you should be in the clear.

you need to take him to the vet!!!!!my dog did the same thing and he had a foxtail in his nose and if he kept sneezing it could have gone deeper then there would be a serious problem.

I think he has a cold because my dog sneezes all the time and his nose is always dry.

He sounds like he got something up his nose.
Take him to the vet tomorrow if it isn't better, and they'll look up his nose and remove it. He might have inhaled a bug, etc.

my first thought was foxtail. there doesn't have to be blood. invest in some long hemostats if you have foxtails. well worth it, take him to the vet to get it out before it lodges deeper and surgery is required. Sorry. for you and your dog.

I would take your dog in to the vet it could be a respiratory issue. That is very dangerous.
