racists make me hate racists

surprisingly difficult question to answer. Could hate be defined as the actual, active desire to harm a person or other persons?
Consider an imaginary person walking down the street. Any age, race, gender, whatever. This person has certain similarities to the rest of us; they seek comfort, avoid danger, worry for their loved ones and hope (and pray) that the world is kind to these loved ones and themselves. And we all here hope for the same for ourselves and for this imaginary person. Does a hater not wish these things for them because he/she is too wrapped up in some characteristic of this imaginary person that he/she dislikes?
But by this definition hate could not possibly be all that common. How do we account for all the other rotten shenanigans of the human race? Perhaps "hate" just can't cover it all.

I hate these kind of questions. Not really, sorry.

Hate is, of course, the single strongest feeling that there is.
I don't hate anyone so I don't know how to hate, I guess.
I do though strongly dislike most all people.

The trouble with hate is, in order to hate someone, you must truly hate youself first. And that is a fact.

I appear to be incapable of hate. As much as I have been conditioned into having negative thoughts on things when institutions or people try to influence me that way, it just bounces off me.
I can therefore only imagine what hate is, and I would imagine it to be a feeling of overwhelming antipathy which defies rational explanation.

not caring so much about someone that you would be happy with ignoring them for the rest of their lives or killing them if you had the chance.... and I know how too but i try not too.... and extreme dislike and anger after someone has pushed it hard enough.... then there are some people whose personalities are unbearable to the point where i wish they were either out of my life or jumped off a cliff.... hate is horrible though... it is bes not to hate...

Hatred is a poison of the mind, it is the build-up of irrational negativity towards somebody or something for whatever reason. It creates vexation and anguish, nothing positive or pleasant, and at worst it can lead to murder.

Holding onto hatred or anger is like holding onto a hot coal with the intention of throwing it at someone- in the end it is only you who is burned.

I hate hatred, and to settle this and resolve my hatred I do my best to not hate- I do my best to remain patient, forgiving, tolerant, and peaceful.

Peace!

What makes us hate is that all humans to greater or lesser degree have separated ourselves from God and in that sense of separation, have taken on the belief that we are separate from each other as opposed to being one with other.

The part of our identity which is the fallen self, the separate identity is called the human ego or the "carnal mind" as referred to by the apostle Paul.

This part of our minds is programmed as it were to resist all attempts made by us to grow spiritually and grow towards oneness with God. One of the ego's tricks to prevent growth is to divide us into different groups where we see certain groups as threats to our existence, actually as threats to our illusion that we exist as separated beings.

The ego always wants us to believe that we are superior to others and therefore have a right to hate and even kill other groups that might in some way threaten us.

To overcome hatred, we must overcome the human ego. To overcome the ego we must, as Paul said, "die daily" while simultaneously work to put on the mind of Christ.

In the Christ consciousness, we recognize that we are all one in God and all part of the same body of God and therefore if we harm any part of life we are actually harming ourselves.
