All wine should be drank at 50-65 degrees F temperature. White wines can be served on lower temperature, in 50-55 degrees, while red wines are traditionally served at "room temperature" - ie room temperature in Europe, which are typically in the 60's and 70's, no the same as the room temperature here, that can get up to 90's or more sometimes.

If you drink the wine too warm, all you can taste and smell is the alcohol, which will cover the intricacy and delicacy of the wine. If you drink the wine too cold, the flavor and the alcohol will not come out. It is very tricky, which is the reason there are many products out there that measures the temperature of the wine prior to serving.

You should try the same wine at different temperature and see the difference.

I only like my wine warm if it is mulled with spices, orange peel and raisins. Usually I drink my red wine in the 60s° F that is the approximate temperature of the wine cellar. If it is a sparkling wine I chill it and I don't drink white wine if I can avoid it. I have heard that white wine drinkers chill their wine.

White wine chilled and red wine at room temp. Exception: red Zinfendal does get chilled.

Red wine should be room temp but certainly NOT hot.

White wine should be cold but not ice cold (it's not beer!)

Red Zinfendel should be slightly chilled.

That depends on the wine. A wine's body, concentration level, tannins, etc, all influence what temperature the flavor nuances are most poignant. Reds do best in the 60's. Light reds low 60's, hevy red high 60"s. Whites are the same although in the 50's. There is some overlap at the ends of these spectrums.

great question, i think it all comes down the the type of wine that you drink, if you're into a spicier type of wine with bold flavors, chances are you're going to like it chilled but i love fruity wines, and sweet ones that aren't too strong so i prefer it chilled

I like sparkling wine cold, red slightly chilled, and whites slightly warm. You can definitely taste the flavors more that way.

I love wine...
Red wines are my absolute favorite and I like them room temperature or slightly chilled.
If I drink white wine, it's better cold.

Warm??? You mean room temperature? Heated?
White wine 'should' be chilled to about 46º to 56º,
but red wind 'should' be served at cellar temperature, somewhere around 56º. I doubt your 'room' is 56º.
I mainly drink red wine and put it in the 'fridge about 1/2 hour before drinking!
