and you were one of the few remaining mormons, would you continue to practice mormonism?

yeah, you're right, there already is a massive ex-mormon movement. And it's only going to become bigger.

Had one this morning. Oatmeal is God's favorite food and promotes digest health.

People leaving the church would not persuade me to leave the church also. I didn't join it for others and I don't remain a faithful member for others. I know it is true, that is why I am a member.
During a general conference talk this past session, I cannot remember the speaker, but he said that eventually people will divide, there will be no fence-sitters...people will either love the church or hate the church, there will be no neutrals.
That is sort of a scary thought but I also find comfort in knowing the gospel is true...then what else matters?

Oh certainly I would remain a Mormon -- I've never been one to be ashamed of my beliefs or follow crowds.

I grew up in California with 5 Mormons in my High school -- none of them were my friends (nor did we hate each other). People often asked me to denounce my religion and its practices by offering me drinks and drugs and what-not. but I love my God and His religion so I never partook even when it meant I would be an outcast.

You can go sit in your large and spacious building and point and laugh at me sitting and eating from the tree where the fruit is the love of God and I will not heed your taunts.

In fact I beckon you to try it yourself.

Good luck and God bless

D

hahaha-there already was one. It occurred when Joseph Smith first started our religion. Mormons were driven out of the states they lived in, which is why Mormons settled in Utah and is why it's still full of Mormons. It was the only place where they could practice their religion freely in a country that said it gave the "freedom of religion"...

There is no "ex-Mormon movement" large enough to make me care enough to follow them out of the LDS church. Besides, no "ex-Mormon movement" is bigger than the LDS church and never will be.

I was going to make some pithy comment about "ex-Mormon movement" but I think I'll pass. ;-)

I'm not worried about a massive ex-mormon movement.

As brittanysettles pointed out, there's already one, and it's been around since the beginning. And yes, I still practice and will always, despite that.

In other words, if everyone was against God and I was the only one who was a member of his religion. Of course I would. Of course I'd be fearful of being murdered or something. Then the truth would be taken off the Earth again because of wickedness. This has happened time and time again. God loves us and brings forth a new dispensation and restores his gospel each and every time. We are in luck though. It's to never be taken from the Earth again, because of wickedness. Yea, we are truly in the dispensation of the fullest of times!

That's a good question. There is a historical precedent to your question, answered in something of a diary:

"I had supposed not to have written more, but I have not as yet perished; and I make not myself known to the Lamanites lest they should destroy me.
For behold, their wars are exceedingly fierce among themselves; and because of their hatred they put to death every Nephite that will not deny the Christ.
And I, Moroni, will not deny the Christ; wherefore, I wander whithersoever I can for the safety of mine own life. "

Would I follow in Moroni's footsteps and endure to the end as a follower of Christ? You bet.

Yeah SURE! I feel like that already!
Half of my family are non LDS, as are most of the people in my town. (some excommunicated) also have friends who've left the church---So........yeah! I'd remain true to the faith!
