I met this guy and he asked me like 3 times to go dinner with him. I didnt have feelings for him but he asked so much that I finally went. At the end of the meal i got some money, cos I didnt want him think that i dont want to contribute with the dinner (even though he asked me in the first place), he let me pay what i ate. After that we went to a club and he invited me one drink ,but I invited him as well one. After that he just didnt ask me and bought drinks for himself. Im not the goldigger type , and this guy was nice so i decided to consider im a friend, so we went out again supposily as friends, and once again of course he didnt pay. And after that he told me that he like me more than a friend and blah blah..I mean..would you even do that if you like someone more than like a friend? I think its kind of rude to invite someone and then expect them to pay!...am i crazy? what do u think?

uh! that guy is so cheap..even only guy friend will pay for me.. and he said he likes you more then a friend and its a must that he should pay instead of you paying, yeah you are right when he was the one to ask you then he should pay the money.how rude and immature is that guy.Next time don't go out with him just tell him that you treat him as friend and don't want to get in relationship no matter how much he likes you..uh cheap guy..good luck!!

The rules are simple, the one who asks is supposed to pay. Inviting someone out and insisting they pay is as rude and ridiculous as insisting on paying when the person who invited you out wants to cover the bill.

you shouldn't offer to pay if it's just an empty gesture and you're going to hold it against someone. that's not fair to them. if you want him to pay see if he will and if you guys have a difference of opinion then there you go, a possible red flag as to an issue of difference about dating rituals.

Anyway, if you weren't attracted to him I don't understand why you are worried about this, sounds like you both wanted out and there wasn't chemistry.

I would not have offered to pay for my half of the dinner if he asked me out....after that he just assumed you were gonna pay for your part of the night. don't do that again...and yes he is an azz..lol

Let me remind you that you insisted on paying your share. You were the one who paved the way. He's just following suit.
