Lately I feel like I've been looking good, My theighs have gone down, my arms have gotten smaller, my face is smaller. I'm 5'7 and I'm 124 lbs. I like to check every day, but that isn't something big i it? I watch what I eat, I try not to go over 800 calories a day, sometimes I'll have less, sometimes I'll have more, but lately I've been loosing weight, so I've been pushing it as best i can. I don't puke at all....

But my mom is saying more and more "Just make sure you dont become anorexic." And here I am thinking, what's so bad about it? Can you become anorexic? I just don't get it, I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, I'm loosing weight, I have my journal, I have my thinspiration, people who I want to look like one day, but does that mean I'm sick? I don't see how it's sick! My dads been saying it lately, and now my friends say I don't eat! I do, but just in moderation...

Idealy I want to be 115 lbs or so...and I don't think I'm that far away...

What do you guys think?

I don't tan (redhead) So the apperiance isn't minimized....Thinspiration isn't terrible is it? I don't enjoy the bone look, but I like having my collar bone poke out a little, and I dont mind my new found hips. :/

Your current weight is normal, actually on the low end of normal, so you shouldn't be on a diet and trying to lose more weight. Your goal of 115 is underweight. A teen age girl should be eating 1500 calories a day, not 800.

You are likely already anorexic if you are dieting and have "thinspiration" pictures. You should ask your parents to take you to your family doctor and an dietician.

See below for a body mass calculator to calculate whether or not you are underweight.

What you're decribing is anorexia even if it's not fully developed yet. In order to get rid of the cellulite you have to lift weights, do lunges, squats, that sort of stuff. You will have just as much fat whether or not you eat, what you are losing is muscle, which is much more benificial to have. There is an article in Allure magazine I think would benifit you. It's called fat skinny people or something to that affect. This one girl was like 5'8 and 115 but she had 37% body fat. That's just not good. It proves that you can be skinny according to the scale but maybe not so much in reality.

Yes, you can become anorexic and it sounds like you're half-way there. You're obsessed over your weight. You are already very thin for your height and you're not eating enough calories per day. I'm even going to go out on a limb here and assume that, when you look at yourself in the mirror, you see at least parts of you that are "fat". Am I correct? If so, seek help now before it goes any further.

115lbs is a bit thin for 5'7"

Think about it. It sounds good I am sure, but it is too thin.

Lift weights, build muscle, make yourself look good with healthy life style versus a set goal weight.

If you are as smart as you sound, you know that muscle weighs more but looks better than Nichole Richie...she is about that thin right?

I don't know your body structure...but everyone likes a shapely fit chick...not an anorechick. (my nick name)...

Truly, focus on nutrition...and stay away from the scale. Measure your muscle...and keep the waist nice...but don't starve yourself.

I don't know your age, but I think that if your parents are saying something...you are young...and trying to control something that you need in your life.

Think about it. And yes, you can become anorexic. It is addictive sort of. Take care of your body.Love yourself. Don't obsess....and if you have trouble doing that...seek help. Don't ruin your life for a set weight. It isn't worth it.

Honey, you don't want to be that thin. I mean, i wouldn't know what you looked like but I'm 5'7" and the ideal weight for a girl that height is about 130-150. So, in reality, you'd be underweight already. I know it's good to be healthy and to look good, but seriously girls who are too skinny are not good-looking. Guys like girls who have a little meat on their bones, no matter what they may say anyway. So, maybe you should just talk to someone about it.

800 calories is not nearly enough for anyone except maybe a toddler. 5'7" and 124 is on the thin side of normal, depending on your build. 115 would be pretty skinny. You can definitely get anorexia, and it sounds like you may be on your way. Listen to your family and friends. If you don't believe them, ask your doctor.

Limiting yourself to 800 calories a day is cause for concern. Your other behaviors could be categorized as obsessive....and your perception of your body seems distorted.... Perhaps you should consult a physician just to be sure... I mean its hard to tell from a post on a website, but if your family is concerned, maybe you should go to the docs before it is a full-blown problem...

You're anorexic. You look at yourself and think you need to lose weight. When the truth is you are already VERY skinny.

You need help. You're sick and you can't make the decision to say if you are or aren't. Your parents and friends are right. You know, there is an old saying.....

"If everyone tells you the same thing.....everyone can't be wrong."
