It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

To be employed. I was due to start a job last week but found that I don't have the right I.D to start.Been looking hard for a year. There seems to be no way out. I've no passport and have come in this country illegally through no fault of my own when I was 6. Because of this I'm faced with a dilemma. I cannot lie, saying I lost it, but on the other hand don't want my mother and me to get into trouble by saying what truly happened. However, if I carry on like this without enough I.D, will I ever get a job? I am soon going to be 20 and lodging with a family because my parents split up. I'm not happy there and my mum is squashed into my sister's house and cannot find anywhere- she's no money. One of my priorities is to have a job and eventually to have my place. However, things are not looking bright also because I can only apply for jobs that are not payed well because I've no real use of my qualifications.

Some do not want to adhere to the strict moral code we follow.
Misunderstandings play a large part in people's dislike of us. We do not seek to convert others by going door to door. It is done so that we may share the good news of God's kingdom with others. Also we want to let others know that the Bible can help them overcome or bear problems. Because of our not celebrating holidays, some feel life as a Witness will be dull and boring.

I don't have a problem with them. But I don't understand the fact that they keep coming to my house trying to change me into one. I am a christian (I go to a free methodist church...although we really don't discuss religion at all...more like our personal relationship with Jesus) I mean I am not going door to door trying to change catholics (just an example) into methodists. I mean if you have faith then why would someone want to change you? I mean I know some jehovah witness people (my brother and sister's family) and some at work and we get along great!!! But I think this sort of thing would make people that don't believe just not want to believe even more. But that is just my thoughts. But I am sure that other religions might have a problem with christians so....it just is people in general....

They studied with me for a while, and I believe some of the things they teach. They are very sincere in their beliefs, and they study their Bibles a lot, but they misinterpret the Bible a lot. One thing I eventually learned was that even though they appear to know a lot about the history of Christianity, they are really ignorant about most of the Chrisitan history before Constantine. They seem to concentrate on all the changes made to Christianity about the time of Constantine and don't really know what Christianity was about in its first three centuries.
I have three big problems with them, in spite of the fact that as individuals, they are generally nice people.
First, they won't admit that they shouldn't have made a translation of the Bible where they purposely mistranslated "kurios" and "theos" as "Jehovah" in the New Testament in about 200 places. This is in spite of the fact that they constantly brag about how humble they are and willing to admit their mistakes. They are very condemnatory about other translators who have departed from the original text, but make excuses for their own departure.
Second, they claim to have the "truth" and that God is using them to witness to people, but their prophecies have turned out to be false. Even after their prophecies are wrong, they still continue to say that God is directing them, and only them.
And third, either because of ignorance or outright dishonesty, they constantly misrepresent the historical origins of the belief that Jesus died on a stake with a crosspiece. They mix in some true facts with a lot of untrue assumptions and insist that Jesus did NOT die on a cross, when there aren't enough facts available to form a definite conclusion about whether it was a cross, or not.

I do not agree that there is hate only against JWs. If you stick around you will see that the hate goes against any belief, to include: Mormons, Christians in general, Atheists, Muslims, Jews, etc.

Jehovah's Witnesses serve a very unique God..The Sovereign of the Universe that tells us not to be blowing trumpets ahead of us...to do what we do for God in private so God can reward us in private.
I am so touched that someone somewhere has something nice to say about so many good people's way of life.
They truly love as Jesus taught. And they could be everyones best friend if they would allow them.

Jehovah Witness' have not knocked on my door in a long time to get me to convert. It has been almost 10 years. Maybe if they started doing this again people would understand them more.

Personally I don't hate them, actually I hate no one. But, the JW's that I have known are pretty pushy, I must say. Still I don't hate them. Or anyone.
I do, however dislike most everyone, including most of the Christians that I know. Probably why I never go to church.
