Buy a eight-foot Shakespeare Ugly Stik, a Shamino Sphero reel, use a kitchen knife, chicken legs for the crab four closing door trap, also bring worms. You might catch tommycod or catfish in the Hudson if you fish in Westchester.

buy some top water lures such as a needlefish plugs
some plastic eel lures
buy a 8 -10 foot spinning outfit at your local wal-mart
some 2-3 once weights and some hooks
some frozen menhaden for your fishing on the bottom
some eels (use the eels first)
some string, and chicken necks for the crabs
a net with a broom stick for crabs when you pull them in
a star type of crab trap
a five gallon bucket

be on the lookout for seagulls responding to stripers/blues feeding on bait fish , but stripers love live eels so keep that in mind
