I believe in God, but I have never seen that. I am a Christian & I'd like to know. SO don't play around & not answer the question. Just tell me where it is in the Bible so I can go look it up. If you've never read the Bible, do not answer.

By supernatural powers I mean like the ability to make things happen like move water with your mind. I mean, you could bring water to dehydrated nuns or something

It depends on how you define "supernatural powers" - many holy men and women were surrounded by miracles such as the stigmata, levitation, visions etc. But all these things were for the glory of God.

Sorcerers, mediums, seers, etc. seek to use supernatural powers to see the future or to change the future. To punish or reward others through spells etc. These things are sins. They are for the glory of the individual or the person who sought their help.

We are to go to God in all things. We are to give him glory in all things.

Supernatural powers are by definition from a supernatural source. Man(I am assuming you refer to man using supernatural powers) is part of the natural world and has no intrinsic supernatueral ability. Therefore any exhibition of supernatural abilities are from either; God and are subject to His direction or; from another source which would not be of God and inherently evil. The source for this would be lucifer.
If you wish to look up in the bible, read about King Saul, the prophet Samuel and the witch (or diviner, seer). Old testament. There are prohibitions and condemnations of the practice of the occult as an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. All things abominable in the old testament are still considered abominable.

Depends on what kind of supernatural powers you are talking about. The Bible is full of and encourages believers in many supernatural aspects, people have just watered down the significance and for some reason decided it is not applicable today.

xweetipie.... depends on what people say are "supernatural powers"

If they speak about the fruits of and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, those are God given "supernatural powers"

If they are speaking of ESP, fortune telling, astrology, necromancy, witchcraft, etc.,. those ARE NOT of God.

Peace be with you :)
