in pride, humility is not observed which is the exact opposite. People become proud and they think they are better than other people and even god himself, when in reality they are nothing without him.

What I understand about pride is their is two kinds. True pride which is when you have good feelings toward satisfaction in achievement, children etc...... then their is the false pride which is exaggerated bloated self esteem which is just arrogance. So it depends if you are proud that you share the same ideals as Christ has or if you are proud to be a Christian with out truly doing what Christ would have you do. Many Christian claim Christianity but follow his steps not. Gandhi said " I love the teaching of Christ but for Christians I would be a Christian " It is the arrogance of Christians that pushes nonbelievers away. A true christian need not to go and proclaim Christ their deity. It will just show. To go out and tell the gospel also means to show how to live the gospel. One thing I have noticed that many Christan's do go out and purposefully offend other religions, this can be avoided by just being truly loving without condemnation which I believe is what Christ would do. If a person truly loves they do not have the necessity to condom but to honor and love each other. So in saying true pride is good false pride just because I follow the largest religion in the world today without doing what Christ would do is over rated haughtiness.

We are all prideful, it's our nature. The problem with pride is when we act out of pride to server our own wants and desires at the expense of others. Certainly we don't need to think very hard to come up with a few decisions made by men that have caused great pain to others.
Pride: War, theft, murder, greed, hatred, etc... these behaviors are all directly related to pride and love of self.

Pride is a capital sin and it is bad because it makes you commit more sins. When a person has pride he/she becomes self centered and would judge and belittle others.
When you have that you tend to be God yourself. The feelings of other people wouldn't matter to you and you won't submit yourself to the real GOD.
With pride you can never be humble and humility is a virtue every Christian should have.

The Bible teaches that God hates pride. Why is it bad? Simply because God said it was. Christians are to love what God loves and hate what God hates. Pride has always gotten people into trouble, the sinful kind.

It's not really Pride per say, it is when Pride makes you arrogant and you think yourself better than anyone else. You can have pride in yourself or your work or your successes, its just when you let it go to your head when it is bad.

There is two kinds of pride. One that is bad and one that is good. The bad one, for example, is like when someone shows off their house, car or something like that and brags. Another example of bad pride is when someone says in away that their life is more important than your-per say.
Good pride is like being proud of your family. Example when your child scores a goal in soccor or some sport. And when you spouse gets a promotion at work. There is reason to be proud of them and you call your friends and announce the good news.
To sum it up bad pride brags and good pride is being happy.

Why is pride so sinful? Pride is giving yourself the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and giving it to yourself. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us. That is why we give God the glory...for He alone deserves it.

Everything you have and are came from God. Everything! Pride is all about self. Look at me! Aint I special? But YOU cant make a single hair upon your head, now can you? God values HUMILITY. Pride will send your soul to hell.

Notice it is first on the list of things God Hates. Pride,a very grievous sin that has sent many a "nice person" to hell.
