Ok, so I was wondering if any of you are secret shoppers? You get paid by companies to shop in their stores, and then write up a very detailed report about how it was. Is this a good job to have for a while, while you get your career going? Does it pay good, or do you need to get another job as well?

Yes, it is possible to do this as a full time gig. However, it takes time and lots of work. You really do earn your money in these gigs, the reports can take forever to write, and if you don't do the job as specified, you may not get paid, or a chance to work with the company again. Never pay to be a shopper!!!!

If you are a secret shopper employed by the company, then you could live off of it, but you probably would have another job within that company to get in. Its more of something you do in your freetime and you get a little compensation.
Its not full time job material.

True secret shoppers work for the company whose stores they shop. The "secret shopper jobs" you find on the Internet are scams.

I really don't think you'd get anywhere with being a Secret Shopper...
If I were you I'd look at something else.

I have done it - it was through an Australian internet site - you didnt get paid much but you would get free products etc and if you had to buy something you would be re-emburssed - it was something fun to do - Im not sure you could make a career out of it
