I was going to this church in edmonton, big chruch. I was so excited for some reason to enter into this church and worship....I always am by the way, but this day was different like my heart was pounding for it. I entered into this pentacostal chruch, and a propheicey was comeing down, the whole church is silent of course. And this spirit falls on me, and everything is white, and I am holy. My heart is in this unspeakable joy, beating with laughter and happyness. Then I lied while I was in this spirit, and it left, and I felt so down. I was like unto God, I can not be perfect. So when you make me perfect come back to me and bring that unspeakable joy back.
ever sense that day my heart has been crying for rightousness and holiness, and to be perfect like the father is perfect.
are there any scriptures that talk about this unspeakable joy that people have, a supernatural joy that only the holy spirit can give?

I personally am in love with Psalm 21:6 Surely you have granted him eternal blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence. I really think this is the best scripture to describe your feeling of perfection in HIS eyes, (and this is my opinion) because I think the joy that you speak of is His favor upon you. And His favor is the ultimate cause of joy because it is the greatest of all blessings.
I know there are other scriptures that can help you out, but like I said that is my favorite one. Since I'm sure you'll desire more, do a word study on joy.
God bless!!

That's a beautiful story.
I have one a little like it. My mother was very close to dying of cancer.I lived in another State. At about 1:30 in the morning I suddenly woke up and I knew Mother had left her body. There was great happiness above me. I was happy to. I laid for quite awhile with a big grin on my face. I could not stop smiling. As I slowly let other things come into my mind the joy of heaven left. I thank God for allowing me to know she was ok. She laid an empty shell until about noon the next day and her body died.

God Is always about seeking. We all Have the Spirital awakening some are greater then others. But if you didn't have down times there wouldn't be any reason to seek God's will. Remember we are sinners and fall short of the glory everyday. So pick up your rug and move on. Pray and Keep seeking his Love and Forgiveness. God's Great gift is Love.

i'm no longer a christian. My father is Catholic and my mom is Jewish, and that i became form of raised the two without rather being raised something, so I grew up having a customary understanding of god (in spite of the undeniable fact that whilst i became 5 I have been given god and jesus at a loss for words ^^; ) i did no longer have self belief in god for a whilst in my life. i began out to truly have self belief in a god because of the fact I had a important trial in my life. It made me provide up and look back at my different trials, and that i found out that no count what had took place there became continuously somebody there to assist me. no longer take the difficulty away, yet they have been there a source. whilst i began out loosing imaginative and prescient, the situation would have been os plenty worse. yet I took place to get a good instructor, and she or he helped me plenty. for this reason i've got self belief in a god.

the feeling of faith like you experienced is a powerful thing.
not to be rude, but if I were you I would be asking myself this: If I could actually lie while in such a state, was the state a gift from God or was it just something you generated?
not to make you doubt, just to prompt a thought - was that feeling from God? If it was, why would you lie while in it?
I think I would think about this and pray hard.

Well I will say. Prayer is some thing that work like that. If you are in right standerds with God. Prayer can be a very joyful experience that can move moutians. But if you get out from under God hand. The joy is gone, and the moutians can't be moved.

Philippians 4:4-7
4Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Welcome, brother, to the peace that transcends all understanding.
Godspeed.

That's funny, because I have had the same experience but not within the context of your religion. I don't know any Biblical verses, but what helps me get it back is meditation to calm my mind, them allowing myself to forget my body and just exist for a second, in tune with everything else.

I was following you right up to the point where you "lied while I was in the Spirit"??? Then you lost me. No one is perfect. Except maybe God/Goddess---so let yourself be human and try to worship without any "supernatural" expectations---Blessings!
