I don't know if I am in love. I cannot stop thinking about him. I even dream of him. I read somewhere that if you want to get close to someone you always have positive thoughts about them and you draw them mentally close to you. He used to write to me a lot till I opened up about myself just a bit and told him I really appreciate him in my life. Now, he's avoiding me, I think. He still writes but not at all as often. I cannot stop thinking of him. I am in my thirties and I daydream about him ! I cannot stop referring to him when I talk to others. I can feel the chemistry between us. He is always relaxed, makes eye-contact and we share little secrets and even giggle. I have never felt like this before. Please help! Is he interested or am I imagining? I want to ask him out as a friend but he is too busy and twice before gave some excuses, which seemed valid. What should I do? Am I being impatient?

Well firstly, I've been there. You are going through an obsessive phase. I can tell you right now, you need to stop this! Find other things which will keep him off your mind and lay off talking about him. When you talk about him, he will hear it back through others if he knows them. Words spread like wildfire, and you don't need him to feel uncomfortable because you have these strong feelings for him. Best to keep it to yourself. That is probably why he is avoiding you. I know, it may seem harsh, but it is the truth. If you go ahead and have a fun time with the girls or hang out with other guys, if he likes you, he will come around. I am not saying to go out openly and make him jealous by making out with a bunch of guys, I am saying just to play it cool. You can always try to play hard to get too and try not to pay attention to him. If you play it that way and he likes you, he will chase after you. That's exactly what you want to do! Trust me, this will be the best advice you will ever get! Good luck!

Something similar just happened with me and a guy I was dating. In the begining I was honest and told him that I was cool with keeping things simple and unemotional. He kept telling me how much he liked me, that he wanted more, that he was "going to be around for a while", asking me why I never acted that interested in him. So finally one night I opened up to him, let my guard down and told him that I was in fact interested in him and really liked him. Next thing you know his calls go from every night to every three days and then a few weeks later he is back with his ex. Then to top things off a week after he called to tell me he got back with his ex...he called again to ask me why he couldn't get me off his mind. Freakshow!

MEN ARE FICKLED...they don't know what they want. Find another guy.

It seems to me that he wants to avoid you. I am sorry for saying that yet I think he may not be as interested in you as you are in him. I am the direct type. I would just ask him- if he says no I will forget him. If he says yes then it is a done deal.

It could be one of 2 things. He may be shy and is trying to avoid you because he really likes you, or...

...it could be that he is not interested and is hoping you'll become disinterested in him. Good luck.
