We don't even know if we are causing global warming or if there even is global warming..

Remember Y2k? Global cooling? Overpopulation? Underpopulation?

If everyone on the planet got together and really tried hard to cut their greenhouse gas emissions the best we could achieve is a slowing down of global warming. To stop it (the manmade part of it at least), requires an 80 to 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions which isn't at all feasible unless we all decide to go back to living in the Middle Ages.

There is promising scientific research being conducted that is looking at ways of removing excess greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. If implemented on a large enough scale we can all go on as we are doing now and not have to worry about global warming.

Another ice age isn't one of the possible consequences of global warming - not for a very long time at least. There is a slim chance that some parts of northern Europe could cool by several degrees bringing about a localised mini ice age but that's all it would be.

A 21-page report from something called the "Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change" has been released today...in Paris, no less...and as expected, it's predictions are dire. According to the report: "Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global mean sea level...

But the biggest bombshell here is this one: no matter what we do, global warming will not be reversed. It will go on for centuries, according to this report. The sea levels will continue to rise as polar ice caps melt. So I guess if Al Gore wins his Nobel Peace Prize, we'll still experience global warming. So much for riding to work everyday in your hybrid car...it's not doing a thing. The situation is futile, according to this report."

the thing is, we cant stop GW completly , but we can slow it down. The people that arent helping slow the precess down are growing everyday. I doubt there will be a second ice age , at least in our lifetime but you never know.

Its amazing how you liberals like to blame everybody else, in the idea "oh well they won't change so we are all in trouble so I guess I don't have to change either"..... lol so yeah we will hit the next ice age when the planet gets done with its warm cycle and not any sooner, so just let it go man, just let it go :)

Thank you :)

Its called positive thinking,
and at least they want to behave better towards the Environment ,which provides us with the conditions to exist .

So that is a good thing, to try and last as long as possible

Instead of saying we are all gonna die, so who cares how we behave ,and end up spending our last generations living in a toilet with out pulling the chain.

Its a MATHEMATICALLY PROVEN FACT that we cannot stop global warming, because we are only contributing a teeny tiny fraction of the total CO2 emmitted and CO2 only accounts for a very small portion of the greenhouse effect.

No, we can't stop it. Even if every human vanished from the earth.. it would still go on. It's part of a natural cycle that has been going on far longer than the human race has existed.

We didn't cause it, we can't stop it. We're just not that big of a deal.
