excellent food but your dog is not a large breed. its more for great Danes, mountain dogs,Grey hounds, dogs with alot of bone mass and take 2-3 years to develop. grab a bag of the solid gold puppy food ( hund-n-flocken)that will be fine and has everything your puppy needs to grow up strong. i fed my doberman it and shes amazing now, perfect health.(i switched to orijen dog food now) but solid gold is a great food , good choice :)

YUP I feed my Golden Canidae all life stages. Great food for Golden's.
Those who will tell you to get a large breed dog food don't know the facts about large breed dogs or the dog food marketing.
All your pup need to grow at a good and steady rate is in the
canidae food.
No need for large breed food at all.
BY the way Golden's are a Large breed dog.
The dogs breed described by the first poster are Giant breed dogs.

My dog is fed a diet based on raw meaty bones and has been since puppy hood. I would not choose to feed my children processed, dehydrated and pre-packaged food that a multinational corporation tells me is 'complete and scientifically balanced' so why feed my pets this way.
Did you know that (according to pet food manufacturers own statistics) 80% of dogs over the age of three have peridontal disease? This is caused by the incorrect diet and as more people research the needs of their pet carnivores the raw feeding protocol is becoming more popular and widely accepted. I have included a link to a feeding guide developed by Dr Tom Lonsdale, a vet with many years of research into pet nutrition.
Have fun with your new pup.

It is an excellant food and very appropriate for your Golden puppy....Goldens, Labs, etc are large breeds (Great Danes, St. Bernards, Newfoundlands, etc are giant breeds)

don't feed science diet, purina, or other pet store dog foods. They are cheap and mostly grain, not meat like your dog needs. Also check out Timber Wolf or a raw(barf- bones and raw food) diet. They are both very good.
My dog is on a raw diet and is in prefect health.

I've heard good things about that food. I feed my dog Innova EVO and it's fantastic.

large & giant breeds should not be fed puppy food at all. they should be put on adult right from the begining.
puppy food puts weight on them too fast because of the extra calories & causes problems with joints & growth platelets
