I like all that stuff too, but so do a lot of people. If you can get certified (meaning you can swim and take the Red Cross lifeguard course), pools are a great place to work year round. They are always looking for lifeguards (summer and winter at indoor pools), and the pay is better that the places you mention ($8-$10 part time). Plus in the summer, it's fun.

Ok.
One thing DO NOT. keep calling them back.
that may get youe employer to think badly of you.
First of all, I dont think if youre under at least 17 you cant work at a video game store. Buecause you cant even but rated M games. You know what im saying there? Try finding something like that when you turn 17. Right now just go with the usual.....McDonalds, Burger King........

you need to be persistent when you are trying to get a job. If you really want to work at EB, call them back every couple of weeks. Ask them what they suggest you do in order for them to hire you, if you need experience, etc. but you have to keep trying because then they will see that you really want to work there. Better to stop by and talk to someone when they aren't really busy though. Calling isn't as impressive as stopping by and making your presence felt. Maybe talk shop a little bit, you know, talk about games, different platforms w/e.
