Streaks of lights across the night sky will enthrall stargazers this weekend when the Perseids meteor shower is expected to put up a peak performance.

Skywathcers can enjoy the sight of over 100 meteors sparkling up the new moon night on Sunday every hour, astronomers said.

It's not going to happen. It's based on science and science isn't' real. If it does happen the devil did it to trick you. The devil creates all science.

Oh I wish I could! But here in Houston it's just not a good vantage point for viewing it. Perhaps if I went way out of town into some field in the country lol .... but then I think about mosquitoes, traveling with 2 little kids, nighttime driving, and for some reason it's not as appealing as it was a minute ago lol

You bet. We live in the city where the lights make viewing very difficult, so we plan a camping trip to the country every year this time so we can watch the meteor shower.

I might have to take a ride out in the country this weekend. You can see a lot more if you get away from the lights.

I hope to, but we are covered with smog and 100 degree temps. here in Atlanta. I am looking forward to it!
