In your eyes, you may not see yourself as a sinner, but you will always be called a sinner by someone, because sure enough, other people believe something and are under the impression that because they believe it, it pertains to everyone.
Go figure..

If sin means to do wrong, then what's a sin is within each of us individually. If sin has something to do with what a book says, your parents say or you learn in a house of worship, I can't help you. And I do go about life not bothered by this. What's wrong and what's a sin is very clear in my mind.

To question what sin is you must acknowledge that we are all born of sin due to Adams disobedience of God by eating the fruit of the forbidden tree. Romans 5:12 reads That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned. For example if you made a cake out of a dented pan every cake you made would have the same imperfection. Adam was created perfect but given free will to think for himself and because he broke the only rule God gave him he was punished by receiving death for his sin, and that's why we all grow old and die. Remember even telling a lie is considered a sin against God, after all it was Satan that told the first lie when he told Eve at Genesis 3:4-5 You positively will not die, for God knows that in the very day of your eating from it your eyes are bound to be opened and you are bound to be like God, knowing good and bad, and the rest is history.

No you do not have to believe in sin to commit it. It does not matter what our feelings on things are, God has already determined sin and it goes according to His word. And if you are not bothered by what you do or by the fact of sin being done, that does not change the fact that it is still a sin in Gods eyes, it is not our judgement of each other and what we do, it is us judged according to His word. Bless You.

Do you have to believe in the idea of speed limits to violate them and get in trouble for it? Do you think the judge is going to be impressed when you say, "I don't believe in speed limits?" What a culture or a religion defines as sin is a definition that exists above and beyond you. You don't have to believe in their definition of sin to be a sinner in their eyes. Now, the $64,000 question is whether or not there is any moral authority higher than the secular government who can hold you to this standard or not. Since you won't know until you get there, you have to decide for yourself whether or not you are willing to take that risk.
So you have to consider it logically: there are 4 possibilities.
a) There is such a thing as sin and judgement, and you knowingly commit sins and decide to accept the judgement if you're wrong.
b) There is such thing as sin and you decide not to sin to avoid the judgement, so you live a righteous life.
c) There is no such thing as judgement, but you have decided not to sin and to live a righteous life.
d) There is no such thing as judgement, but you knowingly commit sins and decide to accept the label of sinner by those who think there is.
Clearly choices "b" and "c" do not harm you in any way. Choice "a" could harm you permanently, and choice "d" can harm you temporarily (in this life - reputation, trustworthiness, social acceptance, etc.).
So it is simply not in your best interest to presume there is no such thing as sin and judgement. It is not logical to make a decision that causes you harm, whether it is short-term or permanent.

It's useless, you know. Total waste of 5 points.
Hel's lacy undies, just look at the answers you're getting already----I should know, I've tried to make this same point several times now.
I haven't sinned. I don't need redemption. And there's no rational equation whereby someone being tortured to death by Romans 2000 years ago could possibly have anything to do with anything even if I had, and did. It's like crazy people talk.
But sure enough, someone will come along, and several of them already HAVE, saying "just because you don't believe in it doesn't mean it isnt' true for you TOO," or "my book says you're a sinner, so a sinner you are."
Walls are easier to talk to. o_O

Even if you do not believe in God and do not like the word "sin" you surely know you are not perfect. We are all human and have some very unpleasant traits: greed, deceit, laziness, irresponsibility, apathy, lust, anger to mention a few. WE should recognize these traits in ourselves and strive to rid ourselves of them. If you are not bothered by behaving this way your life will be troubled as others will not tolerate this for long.

Depends on who you ask and which "sin" you're talking about. I, for example, see nothing wrong with use of expletives under appropriate circumstances, or sex between consenting adults. I don't believe in "sin," but I understand that others might define my actions this way - doesn't stop me from committing the acts.

Since the Fall, all of mankind has been born with a sinful nature. "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"Romans 3:23(NIV) (Notice the emphasis on *all*!)Unless you obey every one of the Ten Commandments, you are guilty of violating them all! (And "ignorance of the law is no excuse!")

No. Many people have been so corrupted by their committing of sin that they no longer feel shame or guilt. And yet they will be held accountable.

We are born in sin, because of Adam and Eve. There is no way we cannot commit sin "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
