Puppies pads only turn black of they have that genetic pigmentation in their feet. Not all dogs do. But many puppies (especially mixedbreed dogs) go through color changes as they age. We're currently caring for a litter of 9 pups, and some have pink feet and others have black feet...

No, it depends on their color. I have a black dog with black pads, a blonde dog with blonde/pink pads and a black/brown/tan dog with different colors on her pads. Besides, a 7 week puppy is definately not done growing! Take care of that sweet baby, now!!!!

Whoever told you that was an idiot. The color of a dog's pads are determined by the skin tone and coat color of the dog. Some dark colored dogs have black pads, white dogs have pink pads. Some dogs have spotted pads.

Never heard that one before.. But it's obviously an old wive's tale cause there is no way that your puppy is done growing at 7 weeks of age.

no, they turn black because that's what their genetic makeup tells them to do at this time. A puppy is a puppy for about 2 years.

No, it has to do with color of the dog and genetics. Some dogs have pink pads, others black.

Not true, some turn black, some stay pink. Depends on the dog breed.

This is an old wife tale and has nothing to do with the growth of a puppy. Relax your pup has lots of growing left to do.
