I'm not saying I don't beleive in him, but i'm just asking if there's a way to prove he exists. I tell one person this, then they go off and tell everybody else. Pretty soon, all this junk comes up about me going to hell. It's maddening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can someone please explain to me all this 'God' stuff. ((it's not that i don't love him, i'm just confused about the whole 'God' topic.))

What would you accept as proof?

I can tell you that if you ask nicely, He will enter into your heart and provide all the proof you could want. But if you don't want to, there wouldn't be much point.

Please Read
Are you innocent or guilty?

During a trial, the burden of proof always lies with the prosecution. That's because a person in the U.S. is innocent until proven guilty. Let's see if you will be guilty when you face the Judge of the Universe. Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever looked with lust? Jesus said "You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart!" (Matthew 5:27-28) If you admitted to being guilty of these charges, what you need to realize is that God sees you as a liar, a thief, and an adulterer-at-heart. Do you see the predicament you're in? You know the Day of Judgment is coming, and your conscience agrees that you are guilty. What will you say on that Day? Would you have any words of defense? No amount of good works will help you on that day. That's like trying to bribe a good judge by slipping him a five dollar bill. The judge of the universe will not be bribed. The good news is that God has provided a way for your fine to be paid, and that is through Jesus Christ. The Bible expresses it like this: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) You broke God's Law... and Jesus paid your fine! The Bible commands you to Repent (that is to turn from your sins) and place your faith in Jesus alone to save you. Confess and forsake your sins once and for all. Do it today - you may not have tomorrow! Then read your Bible daily and obey what you read.

I'm an agnostic too. That's what you appear to be. An agnostic thinks that there is no way to prove whether or not god exists. Some agnostics believe that the true nature of god cannot be proven. Others believe that there are some things that can never be known.

I fall pretty squarely into the first category. I just don't know. I don't think we can know. And I wish I knew why so-called Christians get so hateful when they encounter people different from them. Telling me I'm going to hell means nothing to me, as I don't believe in hell.

But if someone tries to tell you you're going to hell, you can tell him that it would be preferable to spending eternity with some judgmental hatechristian.

It can be hard to find proof if you can't see him.Take a look at everything around you and think, this all had to have started from some were.Being cured is proof though witches also use power from the devil for that.Without god there would be no reason to celebrate Christmas or Easter. If there was no god then there would be no devil, and there are no witches if there is no devil...and there are witches. Also, I would like to point out that there is no such thing as a good witch.

Religion is a practice that is based entirely on faith. You are practicing faith by believing in something that you cannot see but you know exists. There is nothing wrong with having questions about the bible, God, or religion. Having questions gives you the chance for having better education and understanding. The ones that judge you and say you are "going to hell" are the ones in the wrong. Instead of resorting to that, if they are true Christians (or true to whatever religion they practice), they would see that as a chance to teach you, mentor you, help you have a better understanding and spread the word they supposedly live by.

Well, for starters, why would such an omnipotent "Superbeing" have a gender identity in the first place? Why would it be even needed? Such a being would be neither a he nor a she, and the only reason why for thousands of years "God" has been described as male, is because back then the human male dominated, and the status of the female was only one rung up the ladder from a man's livestock... his goats and camels and sheep. If Man was going to believe in such a Superbeing, he sure wasn't going to let that being be a female LOL

Anyway, leave that one for a minute... who are these people you say keep coming up to you telling you that you are "going to hell"? Gee I bet I have lived a lot longer than you and nobody ever comes up to me and says that. I go to the grocery store and the checkout lady doesn't tell me I am going to hell. I go to the postoffice and nobody there says that. When I call the plumber or the electrician in to fix something they don't tell me I am hellbound. I have friends who have all kinds of different beliefs and they don't tell me that either. How the heck do you get in situations where people would tell you that? Sounds to me like you instigate the whole thing by getting into that kind of discussion with people. Hey it's a very contentious subject, and people have a lot of very strong emotions about it on one side or the other. If you start pushing other people's "religion button", girl, you are gonna get some heavy-duty reactions. Don't get into a wrestling ring and start squaring off to somebody unless you are prepared to get tossed around and take some bumps and bruises. If you can't handle it, don't start it. If the other person starts it, you have the option to walk away.

You know and I know, and everybody else who wants to be honest about it, knows, that there is NO way anybody can prove or disprove the existence of "god" If they could have, you would have heard about it all over the evening news a long time ago. But I don't understand. You say you "love him" (meaning "god"). How can you love something that you aren't sure exists? If you love him, you must BE sure that God exists, and if you are sure, why do you need proof?

I suggest you get on with "believing in god" in your own way. After all, that is what "religious freedom" is all about, remember? How you choose to do it is nobody else's business, and they will not MAKE it their business if you don't get into that issue with others. Don't go around challenging people to "prove god exists" because you know they can't, so what's the point? People are only going to tell you what they themselves believe, and personal belief, however sincere, however passionate, is not "proof"

You will, in all probability, go through the rest of your life, never knowing any better than you know now, whether "god" exists or not. But so what? Millions of people before you have lived and died not knowing that, and a lot of them have still lived great lives and done great things because they were fine people. You have to make your decision about what you want to believe, using your own common sense, your own judgement, and trusting in what YOU personally feel inside of you. If you think there is a God who created you, then you have to believe God put that brain in your head. If "he" didn't want you to be able to do your own thinking, what would be the point of giving you something to think with? You were given a stomach because you needed to eat and digest food. You were given eyes so you could see the world around you. Ears to hear with. A nose to smell with. Legs to walk with. Hands to work with. Why would you be given a "frontal lobe" (the part of the brain that you think and make decisions with)? Gee, my bet is because that is what you were meant to do. Do it, get on with your life, and just let other people get on with theirs, and think and believe in their own way. Problem solved.

It's like saying

Can you prove to me you have a brain?

Yes, and no

How can I belive you have one if I cannot see it?

Your thoughts and the way you are able to think shows me you have a brain.

Same with God. I put my Trust and Faith into him. Even if I can not see him. Why? Because I see him in everyday of my life. For me his fingerprints are everywhere.

When I see a Peacock feather and think "There is only one color", and how beautiful it is with just one color. That is God, only God could make one thing so beautiful, and it was not chance.

It's comfusing about some things, but you can find so many answers in the Bible. If you want you can contact me through E-mail, misswrightz@yahoo.com and I would be gald to answer your questions...

Much love and God Bless,

Just be yourself and find your own path toward spirituality. Not everybody is ready exactly at the moment when someone comes knocking at your door and tells you, you'll be saved if...

God does not send judgement through someone else.

On the other hand, you can judge yourself about how, when and why you're looking for God.

You'll get your call when you're ready, and only you'll know when that time is the right time!

You have to begin your own spiritual quest. But if you are interested in learning, then you're going to have to take the initiative and involve yourself in environments where you actually can learn, such as classes at a church, mosque or synagogue; college courses; in the R&S section of your local library.

Good luck! May God bless you and lead you in a positive direction.
