I just got an e-mail from someone saying that I can't like Nascar because I like Heavy Metal, Gee I didn't know that you couldn't listen to Heavy Metal and like Nascar.

They are trying to get you upset that's all.
I listen to oldies myself and love Nascar!
AND, even Mark Martin likes Rap, he'll tell you so.
Whatever kind of music a person likes is their personal option and it all goes with NASCAR, no matter what kind of tune it is!

I agree with you. I don't see anything wrong with liking both Heavy Metal and Nascar. I like both. Those people are just ignorant, narrow-minded people who want to stereo-type those of us who watch Nascar. What unites us is that we like to watch Nascar. What makes us unique is we have our own favorite music genres.

Nothing at all. I have been a metal head for years. Since the first time I had heard Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power, Ive been a die hard metal fan. I dont know to many people who like metal and NASCAR, most of my friends dont watch NASCAR.

Well they are probably biased to thinking every nascar fan is the same. There is nothing wrong with it its just unusual. I like Nascar and listen to country music but i also listen to rock and even some rap. There are several nascar drivers that lived in the city.

Don't let it get you down. Some people are just ridiculous and are just trying to cause trouble (boy, haven't we had more than our fair share of that lately!) I love NASCAR and music has always been a giant part of my life. I swear if you looked at my CD collection you'd think it belonged to four different people! I listen to darn near every type of music there is, including Heavy Metal. So be who you are and don't let anyone tell you that you need to be different!

I don't see why you couldn't like both. I like heavy metal and love Nascar...Remember Riki Ractman from Headbangers Ball, MTV? He is a commentator of sorts for Nascar...Also, some really good groups get alot of attention because the Nascar drivers like them...

it music listen to what ever you like
hell jr. comes to the county i live in all the time in ms. because the members of 3 doors down are from here and he hangs around with them alot

what does it matter what music you listen to? Just because someone is a Nascar fan does not mean that you have to listen to cuntry music. Besides country music is what pop music was back in the early 80's, dont worry about it. I listen to Nine Inch Nails and like Nascar, I am not about to have someone tell me what music I should listen to because I like Nascar.

NASCAR is heavy metal.. Just consider the source. Old school might have been Redneck Drunks, but were in the 21st century.
There are far more NON-rednecks in the stands at the races.
Born in Pineville KY. and hate country, but I do like blue grass, Rap, Techno, and Judas priest to Linkin Park, go figure.
If its loud my 15" woofers love it
