Maybe I should be more clear. I believe there is a God, but not like in the bible, I do not see him as the Creator, just God. I will never ever go to church since I see no point in someone preaching things I frankly don't need to hear. I'm not trying to offend somebody I just see it differently. If this "God" was really what people make him out to be then why does he let terrible things happen to good people? I just believe there is a God, that's it.
Also I am not lonely, not at all. I have a great life with a great family and friends and a great finacee, a job I love what more could a person ask for? I'm a prime example that you do not need to have religion to have a fulfilling life. I do believe for that to happen though, a person must have something to believe in.

I think it makes you normal. Most people that I talk to today have the same viewpoint as yourself.

I think it is really hard for people to understand what it really means to love God. You don't have to go to church every Sunday to love Jesus.

I actually believe in a mixture of Science and Christianity. I am actually thinking of starting to preach it. Do you want to be my first follower?

This is not an easy question to answer without further information. When you say you are not religious does that mean you do not believe in organized religion per se? Are you a spiritual person rather than a religious person? One can be either or both. If you believe in God it follows that you must believe in something that He did or said. Do you believe in Jesus Christ and that He was the son of God and man?
Since you are neither an agnostic or an atheist, I'd like to know what you think you may be?

You are someone who needs to do more research.

You probably could believe in God and not believe in organized religion, but that isn't really putting much confidence in God, since He is able to create you and sustain you physically every second of your life, but doesn't have the power or care enough about you -after all that- to reveal Himself to you..

So the question becomes: Do you want to know THERE IS a God, or do you want to KNOW God?

If I were you, and were open to figuring out what the truth is, I would research a bunch of religions with an open mind, but not asking what they believe but WHY they believe it. Can it be backed up by fact, or is it all just opinion?

Hope this helps/

I don't know, it could go either way. I can tell you that I am not religious, but I am a Christian. I don't think Jesus was interested in religion, and I think he may dissaprove of the way 'some' churches have turned into pharisee conventions. Jesus came for a reconciliation and relationship not for religion. As far as you go, there are two type of people that make the comment you just made, the type that recognize the faults and frauds within religion, but earnestly seek to find God, and then there are the type that don't like religion, but like to define God as they go (and in a sense become their own god) I hope you are the first description, if you are; I believe your desire will be fulfilled.

It makes you spiritual, and perhaps a Deist (see www.deism.com). This means you believe in a higher power, but don't subscribe to the established "revealed" religions of mankind. A revealed religion (Judiasm, Christianity, Islam) makes claim to having received a special revelation from God which they base their holy books on. Deism is belief in God based on the application of our reason on the designs/laws found throughout Nature.

That depends on your belief in God. Do you believe he is the Creator? Do you believe that he is involved in your life. If not, you could be a Deist. If you believe in those things, you are probably a Theist.

It doesn't matter what, if anything, you believe in as long as that belief makes you a good person. My God loves the good people, not just the good Christians.

Its Agnostic, somebody else said it and there right. I heard it in Donnie Darko.

Agonostic:the view that there is no proof of either the existence or nonexistence of God or gods, but since any God or gods that may exist appear unconcerned for the universe or the welfare of its inhabitants, the question is largely academic anyway.

Confused. No, really, Im kidding you. I consider myself to be a christian. I have accepted jesus into my life. I don't believe in religion because it is man made rules and regulations. I prefer to adhere to jesus' teachings instead. I go to a non denominational church (new testament church) I don't know if you are in the same boat or not but that is my story and I'm stickin to it.

Go to the Belief.com site below and click on your preferences.
At the end it will calculate what percentage you are of about 20 different belief systems including the NONbelief of Atheism.
