low fat, low carb or high fiber - any diet requires a certain amount of calories a day. you can find out how many exactly you need by finding daily calorie intake calculator, entering your stats. If it gives you maintenance number - take 300-500cal off and you will lose eating that much.

im guessing your a female. on a low fat diet you could eat 1200-1800 calories a day depending on your body.

precisely the same amount you can eat on a high fat diet!!! What matters is the total amount not the composition although depending on our body shape we tend to react to carbs and fats in different ways (ie ectomorphs get fat on fats, endomorphs get fat on carbs).

Depends how much you burn in a day. Go to google and find a calorie counter to determine about how much you burn. With any diet if your eat less then you burn you are going to lose weight.
