Really badly like can't hold it one more second. you had no can, bottle, bag, or any item to pee in. you were in your car alone, and stuck in traffic, no bathroom for the nesxt 60 miles. There is no trees, bushes, or woods in the area.

If there is any way like say you are on a 4 laner with a pulloff shoulder, don't have to pull over, get to the side away from traffic, open passenger front and if applicable (very useful in such times) passenger back door, try to find something to drape over back door window, face in that general direction and let r rip! Just try to be quick, in case the traffic starts moving again!
That is alot better than when I drove 18 wheelers, I had to (if I was on the 'goodbuddy side), crawl out of the passenger door, grab for the big rack behind the cab that had handles, carefully crawl onto the 'catwalk, let 'er rip, then have to crawl back in. Incidently, it was a cabover and my co-driver was going about 60 mph down the interstate!!! LOL!!! I couldn't have done that with a conventional!
But the idea is to 'go' before you leave the house or where ever you are! Being a Tiny Bladder myself, I did 'go' before we left the truckstop, but it really didn't help that much. Drink one coffee, soda or water-pee 38.
*You might consider installing a funnel in your driver's front seat (removable of course for cleaning). Simply done: Take front seat out, drill from bottom with a large size bit (for metal), then buy one of those funnels used for replacing transmission fuel (really long funnel). Test by inserting the funnel in the seat where your pee pee is usually and check if it fits right. Then, drill (same bit or bigger) a hole through the car body but make sure there is nothing there (mechanical or hydraulic...important that might get damaged from such actions.
Reinstall seat with the funnel inserted, guide the funnel end to the hole and through (if possible) it...there you go! Voila!
Case closed, game over, zip up your fly!
*This also works well for women who habitually wear skirts or dresses!

Let's see. I wouldn't pee in the car. Obviously you would have to go a little before you left, so I would go before I ever got in the car. But if for some reason, I was in that position, I would pee my pants. But that would be really bad to clean. I'm not an idiot though. I always go to the bathroom before getting in the car.

Stuck in traffic? I'd hope I'm in a lane so my car is on the far left, and I'd open the door, stand facing it(so the people behind you can't see, and the door blocks the front from the people in front of you, and I'd just go!
You're never going to see those people again.
Hopefully a cop won't pop up and charge you with indecent exposure

If you have a towel in the car, pee in that. If you have a flashlight, open it, and take out the batteries, and pee in the case. You probably would lose either item, but you would at least be comfortable.

I would get out of my car and pee. I wouldn't care if there were people around. I'd just take a leak right in the street!

Is it odd that I too have thought about this situation? I have no idea, and am afraid it will happen to me one day. I guess a guy could just aim for the floor and later shampoo the carpet. I am a girl however, and maybe find a jacket or shirt to help absorb. Gross to think about.

Stop the car and pee.
I have done it in NYC many times... and seen cabbies do it all the time. Pull over, and open the door, and pee behind the door!

I'd find a way to hold it longer!!! Deep breaths and cross my legs. No way am I peeing in my car!! That would stink for centuries to come.

I'd have one of my shy bladder lockups and probably end up with a damaged bladder and have to go to the hospital to have a catheter put in. Oh, the joys...
