I'm not mad at him. I just don't think he exists. Never got screwed by anything unexplainable.

This question had a major flaw in it. If an atheist is mad at God, then how could he not believe in him? Some are (like me) are atheists because we simply do not believe in a higher authority or some other deity. Next you may ask we probably never 'experienced him'. The idea of God is silly to us and is very irrational.

I am not atheist, but I have read and heard some of the problems which atheists have, including the feeling that G-d has abandoned them, that G-d is a useless or even harmful abstraction invented by those who would exploit other people, even that if G-d were real, He would be a cruel and frivolous G-d, or not an omnipotent Creator but rather some jealous Father G-d.
I think we should not ourselves judge atheists but we should be patient with them, and pray for them but also for us, who sometimes are judgemental and very exclusive to the point of alienating some who might benefit from an open, loving, and welcoming attitude.
Let us welcome and include all atheists who would like to enter into dialogue. Let us be good listeners, and hear out their objections and complaints before responding gently and hopefully clearly.
I too have been guilty of being inappropriate in my anger at G-d as well as the Churches. I hope that from today, I can walk more closely with G-d, be more of a brotherly fellow human being, and share in the Wisdom which the Holy Spirit inspires and leads in us.

I am not an Atheist. Unlike Atheists I DO believe in at least one god. I am frequently mad at it, but it does no good.
As to a "benevolent god":
A benevolent god cannot be omnipotent and omniscient. Its followers may claim that it is; it might claim to be. It might even believe that it is. It cannot.
The Creator/Universe is neutral.

Do you mean why do we want to wake people up to the fallacy that is God and religion? Because our world is becoming very complicated and needs our attention. If believers continue to bury their head in the sand about the realities of life, we have little hope of stopping wars, diminishing hunger, stopping over populations, and many other calamities that could destroy us all.
Not to mention blind faith is just plain stupid and foolish.

Atheists don't believe in God in the first place. Who would they be mad at.
I'm not an atheist, by the way.

They aren't mad at God. They don't believe in God. If they're angry about anything it's people telling them they are going to hell. I'd be a bit testy as well.

Being mad at god would indicate acknowledgment of the existence of god, which would therefore mean they aren't atheists.
Atheists are not mad at god

I can't be mad at something that doesn't exist. That trait only belongs to believers who want to blame someone for everything that goes wrong instead of taking responsibility for their own lives.
I pity them for being doomed to a lifetime of madness.
