I know how important it is to drink lots of water and keep hydrated... but I find it soooo hard.
I just never feel like water, and when I have to drink it I almost hold my breath and force myself to drink it??
Does anyone have any advice for making myself drink more water? Tips?

I don't want to add flavouring to it... I just need to drink it plain.

If you aren't thirsty, don't drink. If you're thirsty and don't want water, hold out until you do.

Why do u need to drink it plain? Maybe you can eat fruits with lots of water in them, like for instance, Watermelon!

But if u really want to drink more water, eat something dry and then you'll want to drink water! (like crackers) Or you could exercise and after that, you will feel more thirsty.

Maybe, you could relax in a bath. I think your skin soaks in some of the water. If not, use some lotion to at least keep your skin hydrated.

Drinking water shouldn't be hard unless you have hydrophobia or something. Just think of it as natural as eating food.

You can drink too much water and rinse your body of it's necessary electrolytes, so you may want to switch to Gatorade or try Pedialyte if you don't want the sugar. If you would rather drink the water, try snacking on some salted nuts (stay away from the saturated fat in peanuts) while you drink. A lemon in the water or a splash of orange juice will add a negligible amount of calories and sugar to the water.

If your urine is clear or slightly yellow you are well hydrated. Also stay away from diuretics like alcohol and caffine so you don't have to drink as much water.

What i do - drink 2 glasses of water when i wake up and while making breakfast and then make sure i have a bottle of water with me all the time - sip here and there and you dont even notice how much water you have drunk during the day and how easy it was.
On workout days - drink one glass of water before working out, usually at least one bottle during workout and a bottle after working out while im changing clothes and on the way home.
