You would have to expand upon what "needs" are. Basic needs-food, oxygen, water, shelter-- are different, and far removed, from extended needs-- love, happiness, validation, power, waffles-- and so although I agree most conflict is rooted in unmet needs, I don't see how much conflict can happen if you deprive someone of their basic needs. People can't argue while suffocating, and wars are not fought by emaciated people. Eventually, should the basic needs not be met, the person dies, and then, where is the conflict?

Disagree. Most conflict is rooted in unmet WANTS. People who are starving to death rarely start wars.

Conflict is almost always rooted in some form of fear.
Being out of balance with fear is a state of mind that creates demons that otherwise don't exist or are exaggerated to the point of lunacy.

Disagree. In Iraq, the Shias and the Sunnis are happily killing each other, and that won't fulfill any needs of either.

Conflict arises when one person's selfish desires conflict with another person's selfish desire. That is why even when there is no conflict the selfish desire still remains as a potential problem.

Such naivete would be refreshing if it were not so wrong. Most conflict is rooted in cross purpose.

some of the poorest countries in the word like Chad Africa have low crime rates

the problem is in the heart of man, in evil desires and dissatisfaction not inherent needs but if anything unfulfilled wants filled in an unrighteous way by a dissatisfied person
