me and my boyfriend have been dating/living together for over a year. he refuses to buy me a promise ring. he keeps giving me a million different excuses why he won't. what should i do?

why would you tell someone to get you a promise ring that takes all the fun out of it it's like telling your man to go and buy you a wedding ring now it takes the fun out of it do you really want a ring that you had to make him get for you?

please don't take this the wrong way, but don't rush a guy.
some guys take a little longer than others to know certain things.
i knew after 2 months that i wanted to marry my wife, but waited until the 13th month to propose to her.
my friend waited 4 yrs and they never had a promise ring.
sorry to be rash but a "PROMISE" ring doesn't mean sh!t.
don't pressure him and just love him and make him appreciate for you, not by being forced to love.
be patient if it is meant to be it will happen

Get over it , what if he is trying to buy you something else. Why do you need a promise ring anyways? Maybe he is thinking about kicking your butt to the curb!

You probably shouldn't pressure him to get you one, because even if he finally gives in, it won't mean as much. You want him to give it to you when he is ready and when it means something..not just because you are impatient. Besides, you have only been together for a year..give it time.

don't keep asking him that will just get annoying, but when you two go to the mall look at the rings for the both of you just to see what some look like, maybe he'll see something he likes, and then he'll change his mind.

Maybe he's not ready.
Don't pressure him into getting one for you.
Because then, it won't mean as much.
Maybe wait a lil bit and you give HIM one..?
