i bought a keyboard and small items like a remote, a contact case, earbuds for my ipod, eye drops, a candy bar and contact solution at walmart. apparently the clerk put the keyboard and my other stuff in diff bags; the clerk gave me the bag with the keyboard and said goodnight; i went home.
i went back to get my other bag and it was after closing at midnight and they said come back tomorrow. i just wanted my bag. they made me come back this morning.
my bag couldn't be found!!!!!!
long story short, a clerk took me to an assistant manager who looked at me with evil eyes when he told her that i went home with only 1 of the 8 items on my receipt. the vibe was that she assumed i am a liar, and gave me a cold shoulder and said, "How can you forget 7 items on your list?" I didn't say anything and she was like, GO AHEAD, LET HIM GET HIS STUFF, all rude and walked away pissed off.
I called wal mart and reported her and talked to her boss. Her boss apologized. Will she get a write up

If the manager did not agree with her behaviour, probably.
Cheers :-)

Unless there is a person that is higher up than the manager, there's not a whole lot you can do. You need to tell your manager's boss what is going on. Ask other employees if they notice the same issues and have them go with you. If there is nobody higher than the manager, you might need to contact someone locally. Better business bureau or something of that nature. There should be no reason these people are acting like this.

Its hard to say. You would be surprised at how many customers lie and/or exagerate upon an issue. I was cursed by a girls mother because her daughter accussed me of looking through her bag , accussing her of stealing, and banning her from the store. none of which happened. I simply asked if she would let me search her bag due to the fact that the sensor alarm went off as she was leaving the store. She had nothing in her bag, I told her that it was probably the metal headband she had inside, and told her that she was ok to leave. So in conclusion, Customers lie so much, its hard to tell if they are telling the truth or lieing. unless someone else who witnessed the behavior, and is also willing to tattle on them, than chances are she will probably not recieve any write ups.

Wal-mart? I doubt it. It has been my experience that they hire jerks to work in the customer service area. Have you ever tried to return anything? It's like renouncing your faith to a priest. They are just not helpful.
Look at it this way though, these people work for pittance. It is a nasty job, dealing with the lowest common denominator John Q. Public, along with the rest of the masses. If I had to do that all day, I might be a jerk too. Let it go, dude.

I use to work for a retail store so I know what might happen. Depending on if they are good friends or not.If they are good friends she will just get a warning if they are not she will get a write up.Nobody ever follows the rules in retail unless a customer makes a really big deal about it.

When you reported her, WELL DONE!! people at service to other get away with things, because people let them! of course this is not your case. GOOD!
And yes, the Boss will talk to her about this. don't worry. She'll learn the lesson..
But next time, be more careful, now that you know there are turkeys everywhere....

She might get talked to, but probably not written up. I had a problem with the manager of the jewelry counter at Sears once. My husband and I bought our wedding rings there (NEVER BUY WEDDING RINGS FROM SEARS!!!) I took my ring in to be fixed and the two rings sautered together...the engagement ring band cracked. When I got the rings back one of the diamonds had been damaged and she told me it was like that when I bought it. I said "NO, and if it was I would have refused delivery". She got all snotty when I made her send it back to have the diamond replaced. I talked to the store manager and told them what happened and she was written up because I threatened to tell everyone I knew not to buy their jewelry, and they refunded the cost of fixing my ring.

Depends, if she has had complaints in the past and if her boss likes her. Unfortunally its hard to tell what will happen.
