I would normally say that their is more to a religion than its religious texts.

Particular philosophies, cultural significance, religious laws, etc.

But no offense much of Christian philosophy is shallow and one dimensional.

The most I would say is if you are interested read some apologetic commentary on some particular verses

but I think you have done enough homework

The only Bible that is not corrupted and contradictory is the King James Bible[preferably the 1611 AV].Study up on the manuscripts and you will find the pure ones were from Antioch, and the corrupt ones from Alexandria.Had you stayed with the King James, you would have met God face-to -face.Read Hislop's "The Two Babylons" and Philo and Josephus before anymore Druidic ceremonies.

KJV King James had around 80-90 Scholars of that day translate the bible from Hebrew and Greek the best they could and the result is the K J V , in 1611

You can read it all day. If you still think there is some sort of conflict or dichotomy between Christianity and Paganism after reading the text that many times, then you did not understand what you read.

You do sound well-read. I presume you took notes and tried to pick up the basic message in these books. So what did you learn as you read them?

And how are you continuing your development in studying Paganism?

Question; Did you discern the difference between scripture and the Bible? (They are not identical currently. The Bible has additions/subtractions to scripture in many cases presently).

I just wonder - have you read any of them *completely*, or just studied a few passages or chapters or books that you happened to be interested in?

If you have not read at least one from cover to cover, I would say that you did not do your research.

Something was missing. God chose not to reveal himself to you. Were you open to him or was your mind made up it was a bunch of junk before you even started?

Well, I suppose it depends on how and why you read them. Not all reading is research. I have many students who read many things without any depth of understanding at all.
