I'm heading to Toronto and wondering what there is to see and do around Younge and Eglington on a weekday.

There's plenty of shopping on Yonge Street between Eglinton and Lawrence. You can go for lunch or dinner... my favourite restaurant in the area is Quince, which is just south of Eglinton on the west side of Yonge. You can go see a movie at Silver City or Canada Square. If you're coming this summer while the weather's nice, you can sit on a patio and have drinks, either at one of the many restaurants, or at a bar... my favourite patio is the one at The Midtown, which is on the north side of Eglinton East just east of Yonge, but it's behind the restaurant so you can't people watch. I think the Duke of Kent is the only bar that has a street-facing patio.

Ummm... that's all I can think of to do at Yonge and Eglinton. It's not that big of an area. There isn't much tourist-y stuff to do.. great place to live though!

Hey, you're in luck!

Hop on the TTC (the Eglinton station on the Yonge line) and you can go everywhere in Toronto!

Indulgence is a great new, restaurant just north of Bloor. You can get a free transfer when you get on the Yonge line, southbound, switch over to the Bloor line at St. George, westbound, and get off at Bathurst.

Indulgence is just north on Bathurst. The write-up is on the right side of the page at the link above. Enjoy your meal!
