I ask myself the same thing...but then i remeber what the bible says about these days were living in.... the bible says that Satan is blinding the eyes of the unbeliever and that he is misleading the whole earth. So you see that will only happen after the wicked is destroyed and wiped off the earth. then we will all believe in one religion.

Almost all the major religions in the world talk about One single God. But if we try to merge them all, there will be a confusion as to what to choose from which religion.
"To every nation we have send a Book"
This is a verse from the Holy Quran which tells us that God has send messengers and books to all nations. There message was for that period and for those nations and thus were not preserved by God, but the basic message was same that there is One God and He alone should be worshipped.
The scriptures of the major religions today tell us about the coming of the final messenger of God, Muhammed (pbuh) and the book given to him is preserved by God, every Arabic Qur'an in the world today is, letter for letter, identical to this ancient script. Due to this preservation, the Quran exists today exactly as it did over 1,400 year ago in a language which is still alive today. I have found the Qur'an's teachings to be quite clear, consistent, and practical for application even in today's so called "modern world." It has the solution to the problems of mankind today and thus it is the fastest growing religion in the world.
"Come to common terms as between us and you, (the first) worship non but One God Almigty, associate no partners with him....."[The Quran]
This Verse, I think, contains the masterkey towards peace between all the religion of the world, coming on a common platform.

Not all religions believe in one God, or even the same God. But even if all beliefs were the same, we tend to practice the faith we were brought up in, or explore a new religion when we reach adulthood. It's the same principle that if all of us thought alike, it would be a peaceful (but boring) world.

People have different opinions on everything.
Why not just merge all our opinions on the kind of movies we like or clothes we like into one? Most people like movies. We all wear clothes. Why not all wear the same clothes and watch the same movie?
It makes no sense.
Being different is part of life. We will never be the same.

I've got a better idea. Since ALL religions are stupid and irrelevant, and there ARE no invisible, magical, supernatural sky-fairies (gods), why can't everybody just smarten up and get real?
"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called Religion." ~ Robert M. Pirsig

The consequences of organize religions in our societies and throughout history shows how vulnerable people are to irrational philosophies, corrupt religious leathers, and dangerous superstitions. It does not matter if it is one religion or one thousand!

Not everyone believes in this "1 god" your referring to.
Its not probable for Muslims, Christians, and Mormons ect... to agree on everything for there to be one religion.
This would exclude people who believe in more than one god.
That's why we all cant believe in one religion.

Not all religions believe that we have the same God.
And religion is about more than God; its about culture and morals that come along with it.
