I have read SO MANY questions about people asking if they're overweight and they're almost always underweight or just right. Do people know what they ask and say actually affect people who are borderline overweight or overweight. I mean if someone who is 5'5 an 100 pounds ask if they're overweight, someone who is 5'2 and 120 pounds may feel fat because some girl whose taller then them and they weigh less thinks they're fat.

What do ya'll think?

I think a lot of it is just girls looking at the skinny air brushed models and actresses who are supposed to be "pretty" and compare themselves to them, because they don't look "perfect." It probably also doesn't help that said models and actresses do promotions for things like weight loss products, pimple creams/soaps, etc. saying that they didn't like the way they looked and now I took this and I look perfect and my life is perfect.

My 21-y-o sister-in-law is the same way. She sees those people and wants to look like them. She doesn't get it and that's really sad that she is still that naive.

Yuck.

The precise definition of overweight lies within the coverage tables. It has not anything to do with how we suppose, or how we seem, however what a few coverage firms have made up our minds is the suitable weight to your distinct peak. These have been centered to make a decision if the firms would furnish coverage to men and women with out charging extra for a intended wellbeing threat via the individual being overweight. Naturally, it is to their knowledge to have men and women weight as low as viable to be the norm. Then if men and women move over that weight they are able to cost you extra for the coverage. So you'll seem best, suppose best, and feature wellbeing exams that exhibit you're healthful, however you're nonetheless extra of a "threat" in relation to shopping coverage and they're going to ought to cost you extra when you wish to be insured.

Well certainly that 5'2" person would feel a bit fatter, but honestly, people need to develop the idea that it's not how much they weigh in comparison with others, but what is healthy for them.

as for those wondering whether they are in a healthy range, search "body mass index" or "bmi" in google, and you can find out.

i think a lot of it has to do with girls being self concious. Either that or they say it for attention, so that they can hear compliments. If they were really concerned about if they were over weight or not they can check their BMI rate
