You are right life is not fair, but God does not make these things happen they just do. It sucks that kids get sick, it sucks that kids die, and it is ok to be angry with God right now he understands. I know that there is a God. I have seen his miracles both small and large. How you are feeling is completely normal. Perhaps you should consider talking to a counselor or joining a chat group with other people dealing with the effects of leukemia...it can really help.

It's okay to blame God. He understands why you would feel hurt and why you would want to blame him. I don't think we'll ever be able to understand for sure why he takes certain people at certain times, but I know that he has a plan for each one of our lives no matter how long we live. I agree that being given cancer at a young age is a horrible thing. I once knew someone young also who had cancer and I blamed God for a long time. But God has the bigger picture. He says that he will never leave us and that he always has something good that will come out of everything even when it seems like the situation can never get better.
I'll be praying for your friend. God can work miracles. He may choose to heal her. But if not, know that she will be safe in his arms and that you'll see her someday. (that is...if you've both accepted Christ. talk to her about it.) I'll also pray for you that God would give you the strength you need to get through this and understand.
Talk with God tonight. Ask him questions. Tell him exactly how you feel. He will listen. And he will answer you, even if it takes some time.

I have had cancer, and I am a lifelong atheist. So strange how god gets the credit when something goes right but no blame when things go wrong. The usual believers defence of 'free will' is nonsense - in what way has your young friend exercised free will?
So sorry to hear about your friend,. I wish them the very best.
My view is this: either god is a callous observer of people's suffering, or he doesn't exist. No other argument makes sense, people can't have it both ways

Don't blame God. Things happen that we have no understanding of why. There are so many factors/causes for cancer and they don't necessarily come from a supreme being. Many of them are man made.
Also Leukemia is not necessarily fatal. A positive attitude for everyone involved with the care of your friend will help immensely. I know from personal experience...

Whoa, this isn't health related...but...God has a reason for everything. There's bumps in the roads where we just don't understand, but you're supposed to keep faith for your friends and the people around you that is hurt. Sin causes suffering and sin is everywhere. God has a purpose for everyone, and some people leave sooner than others when their purpose is fulfilled. I wish you friend luck and you with your relationship with God.

God is good! The devil is evil. Sickness and disease originates from the devil himself. I would strongly encourage you to get some books on healing at your local Christian book store.
From my own life experiences I have learned how I have exposed myself to sickness and how I have avoided it. I learned as a young mom how badly immunizations affected my children. The medical profession was telling me otherwise but now there is soooooo much that indicates how harmful they can be. If you can find it, there is a book called "How to raise a healthy child in spite of your doctor" by Dr Mendelson. He clearly states that we use to have diseases like chicken pox, measles etc but now after the onslaught of vaccines we have such things as lukemia & cancer in children. I know that a ton of medical people would disagree with me but I don't care. I'd love to shout it from the house tops. We are killing ourselves!!! And the enemy of our souls is laughing at us as we go to early graves and reject the good things and ways of living that God provides for us on a daily, consistent basis.
You can walk outside and see your neighbor's lawn not mowed and junk all over or you can look up and see beautiful skies and trees that God created for our benefit. Honey, get your eyes on the goodness of God, you will never know exactly what it was that caused someone to become ill and then die but we can certainly look to God for our own health and well being! If you are truly open to the truth God will reveal it to you. Man cannot reveal anything to you only God can do that.
