Love it! Informal - Vegas, garden or cocktail type of reception -maybe an art gallery type thing - something "avant garde" - maybe even a B&B

Apparently, I have a different taste than most of the answerers, because I like the dress a lot.

It's defiantely a casual or informal dress, it's too short for anything else.

It's a summer/late spring/early fall dress, like... May through September, or else it will be much too cold for it.

I'd say afternoon, like 3 pm. Anything in the evening, like 6 or so would generally be expected to be more formal.

Depending on the church, they will have a dress code and this particular dress probably breaks most of the codes because of the length and the neckline. I would say it would be a nice dress for a garden, park, backyard, or even a courthouse wedding. A church wedding would require a dress that was a bit more conservative, and when I think of a beach wedding, I think of a longer, slip-style dress, one that's form fitting, but not 'tight'.

That's definitely a casual dress. Anything white tie, black tie, formal really would be a long dress. It could be semi-formal or informal or casual--hard to really see the picture.

What season? I'd say spring or summer. i can't imagine wearing that when it wasn't extremely hot outside.

what time of day? evening weddings tend to be more formal so for something like that i'd say prior to 5pm.

what location? that is definitely not appropriate for a church (well most churches anyway). But any other location would be fine. outdoor, indoor at a golf course, vegas.

I think it is a very very trendy dress, so make sure you really really love it before you get it. But if you really do love it, it could fit into a semi-formal, casual, any season, time, etc..
You are going to want to play up the dress with those surrounding you... I would go with guys in tux's with some sort of twist, like wearing converse or vans or something. And I would make sure the girls also have some sort of quirky thing as well. That way it will be fun, semi-formal, and it will play up the dress in a very good way.

It is a Casual (kind of flirty) dress (I would leave the hat out, it looks stupid with it). Thou it is more modern the most would like, it is a nice dress.

I would say Late spring to early summer, it is still cool, but not to hot.

I would say early to mid-day.

Location would more the likely be a causal location, park, or a hall of some sort, maybe a back yard. Or some kind of small affair in the home.

What seasons -- late spring or summer

What time of day -- before sunset

What location -- anywhere but a place of religious worship is OK

That is a very informal dress for daytime. The location and season aren't relevant. Although at first glance it seems like it should be worn in the summer just because it's so short.

Informal
Spring or Summer
noon to 5pm
Not a church!!! It's kind of modern and I think it would look strange at a garden or park. Not sure where it would be appropriate.

A western themed wedding. It would look pretty cool with the groom in a white cowboy hat.

No wedding at all! This is in no way, shape, or form a wedding dress! Even a red wedding dress would suit a wedding better than this. This looks more like something a guest would wear. Sorry, but keep looking.

I'd rock that at the reception. AFTER the big dress (if you can afford it)... something fun to Dance in thats not as constricting or combersome as a long dress... no bustle to trip over.
