Don't you understand that it takes more faith to believe everything in existence is merely a result of random chance, than in an intelligent designer/ creator?

Atheism is a faith based religion just like the rest.
Only 8% of America and only 8% of scientists believe it.

Nope. We don't have faith in our thinking. And we don't believe in random chance. In fact, we really don't believe in anything. We simply study what evidence is available and from what we learn we develop theories that might plausibly explain such things as the ascension of the species and the beginnings of the universe. But we will likely never have all the answers. It is you faithful that make claims that intelligent design is absolute truth. I'm not saying you are wrong. I just have no evidence to look at that would suggest to me that you are right. So if you are to make such a claim, you inherit the burdon of proof.

Sorry, but the premise is wrong: it requires no faith whatever -- merely intelligent interpretation of the evidence (which is conclusive). And it is a good thing: faith is the ultimate evil -- it is the deliberate rejection of the essence of one's humanity -- the ability to apply logic to evidence and come up with reasoned conclusions. And there is not the slightest bit of evidence to suppose any sort of a creator -- and it is provably useless to believe in one. See:

You're mistaken. It takes more blind faith to believe that there's an all powerful Sky Daddy who is going to lift your ghost up when you die and take you to a place where you'll live in a mansion and the streets are paved with gold, than it does to logically believe that everything came about as the result of chance.

Yes, it does take faith to believe it is all random... faith in science and facts (which, I admit, takes less faith than believing in some unseen force).

Frankly, I think it's even more wonderous and miraculous that we are all the product of random chance and concidence than saying "Oh, god did it." What are the odds that you'd be what you are without evolution and random chance? Amazing!

I'm not an atheist, but I think it takes far less faith, as you say, to believe in science and testable hypotheses than it does to believe in an intelligent designer/ creator.

Not random chance. Verifiable processes we have documented and show clearly for well over a hundred years. Pull your head out of the dark ages. And stop setting up straw men. All this drinking is going to end in a hangover...

Nope. No faith required and nothing it up to random chance. You just have to take the time to examine the evidence which is a whole lot harder than the "god did it" cop out.

The universe is infinite so the chances of anything happening are 1/1. So it's hardly random when you look at a big scale.

We're here because none of the world religions have proven the existence of Gods and Goddesses. We will convert if real proof is presented to us.

It takes no faith at all to study and see the world for what it actually is.
