Okay, the wedding is this weekend and we etched beer mugs with the groomsmen and ushers names on them for their presents. The ushers are not old enough to drink and my mom is insisting on including a note saying something like, "We know you're not old enough to drink...blah, blah...but you can keep forever...blah, blah...thanks for being a part of our special day." Or something to that effect. I'm not that plain! I like cutesy sayings and stuff, but my brain is spent! I cannot think of anything cute. Please give me some ideas for a cute saying to go with giving a beer mug to both the groomsmen (who are old enough to drink) and the ushers (who are NOT old enough to drink).

Thats ridiculous. Give them all the same note. Who thinks that they have to drink beer out of the mug? I use our big huge mugs for ice cream. They are aware they aren't adults--but kids hate being reminded that they are young. Especially if these ushers are close (like 17 or 19) it's almost rude to put something about it. After all they were mature enough to be in the wedding, they are mature enough to be able to rationalize on their own.

A simple Thank you for being in the wedding. It meant a lot to have you there on my special day is fine.

I don't think they need a special reminder that they're not old enough. That will probably just make them mad. I agree witht he first answer- kids hate to be reminded that they're not old enough to do things yet.

It was a great idea to get them all the same thing, and if you want to include a saying on the card, do the same thing for everyone.

There's no sense saying 'here's this, but you're not allowed to use it for anything at all until you're 21' when in fact they can use it for all sorts of non-alcoholic things. They could put Pepsi or something in it, I have one that I've always used for pencils and pens, my dad has some and he uses them to mix a milkshake in every night after dinner.

Hi there
I make personalised wine charms for weddings.
they are a beautiful ring that wraps around the bottom of the wine glass in your color theme, and have the guests name in beads.
They are really beautiful and a great keepsake for your guest to take home with them.
Email me and I'll give you my website, or you can buy them from me through ebay.
